Stray dogs are being dumped in H Block Ashok Vihar -1 from all other localities and they enter houses destroy property, poop and are a menace to the ladies and children. Some people encourage it by giving them food and dogs have started taking liberties like stamping on car roofs and eating away newspapers and milk packets delivered in the morning. They rummage through the garbage packets and spread it all over the streets as well.

The public road near Azadpur Bus stand and roundabout, has been encroached by street vendors, peddlers and hawkers.

These are menace to the society adding to the violation of laws.

They are seen throwing leftover and garbage on the public road.

Despite many complainants, no action till date has been taken.

This is to report severe and unjust harassment of law-abiding citizens by North MCD staff.

After undergoing major surgery in October last year, I had stopped emptying our trash into the infrequent MCD garbage collection vehicles as I reside on the 3rd floor and wasn’t physically in a position to carry the garbage down. In any case, the constant strikes and absence of garbage collection vehicles made it necessary for me to rely on a private garbage collector who regularly comes upstairs and collects the garbage. Since late 2018, this is the arrangement that had been going on.

Today the garbage collector didn’t come and our maid took the trash downstairs to the MCD vehicle that had come. That’s when the ordeal begun. The garbage collection vehicle was accompanied by a group of people identifying themselves as MCD staffers. They asked the maid to call me downstairs and started blaring warnings on loud-speaker in a very crude manner.

Not only this, they crossed all limits of descent civil behaviour by pointing to my wife who was in the balcony on the third floor and asking her over loud-speakers to come downstairs immediately or face legal action without even explaining who they were or why were they making all those loud speaker announcements.

When I went downstairs, two of the people one of whom was making the announcements on a microphone and the other who was introduced as the top official of the bunch, told me that now the MCD collects segregated garbage and the garbage in our bin contained a few empty milk and food pouches. They asked me to get it segregated which the maid did on the spot. Then we had a discussion wherein they told me that since I was not aware of this, they want to explain how it is done. Despite my standing right next to them, they again started blaring things on loud speaker. I still didn’t object to it since I felt they were only spreading awareness and it is good for everyone to know the value of garbage segregation. They also gave me a pamphlet and told me that it was okay for once as I was not aware of the new policy, but, I should install separate bins for wet and dry garbage, to which I readily agreed. Suddenly one of the guys warned me that there is a fine ranging from 20 thousand to 26 thousand straightaway for the ‘offence’, that they were not charging this time, but, in future they would. I told them that I would get the bins installed immediately and even today the maid had done the segregation then and there as per their instructions.

Suddenly the well meaning community awareness thing (as I assumed it was) was marred by another gang member (sorry to say, but, their behaviour was now unbecoming of government personnel concerned about the citizens), who held a challan book. He told the others that they had spent a lot of time on the street and they need to punish someone at least and it was then declared that they were going to issue a challan to me. That’s when I protested against it and asked them that why were they suddenly behaving like this when we had a discussion already wherein they had told me to be careful about it in the future and I had readily agreed. Technically, even today since the maid had segregated the garbage as per their instructions, I didn’t commit any mistake so there was no case for a challan. Then they said that they had spent a lot of time and in any case they were going to issue a smaller fine and not 20 thousand plus as they could. They even started video recording without my permission as if I was some criminal and when I refused to allow them do video recording without any clarification, they threatened police action. I told them that I don’t mind paying the challan if I did commit any mistake. Then the guy who was reportedly their boss said, “It is only a small amount and it is going to go to the government only so you shouldn’t have a problem with that.” Seriously, is that the logic now? We are already paying Swachh Bharat Cess on a lot of things and I told him that it was not about the amount being small or major, but, about the integrity of how a government official should behave. He had himself told me that since I was unaware and I had got the garbage segregated on the spot thus, not breaking any rule (if there was one), they won’t challan me. Then why the sudden urge to make someone an example just because they had spent time on the street and had to find a scapegoat.

Seeing them behave illogically, I asked them to tell me what the challan amount was so that I could pay it then and there. They refused to tell me anything and handed over a slip mandating me to make an appearance in the court on a working day.

For them it was easy to harass a law abiding citizen like that, but, being a privately employed person, it is quite dreadful for me to make a court appearance in a court complex where criminals and offenders are supposed to be. Not only that, I am a privately employed person who will have to suffer the loss of a day’s salary due to skipping office on a working day apart from the mental torture of going to court for no offense of mine (a fact that even they had accepted before deciding that they had to find a scapegoat to show for their efforts of the day). .Also, it was quite humiliating for me and my wife to be treated like some criminal or law-breaker in front of the entire neighbourhood despite not having committed any offense.

We hereby complain against the unnamed North MCD officials for the harassment they meted out to us unnecessarily and the unjustified challan which will be a cause of further harassment and loss to me at a time when I am recovering from a serious health issue.

It is a humble request from concerned officials that they should look into the matter and for once consider being public employees for the well-being of the people instead of behaving like gangs on the prowl to find an unsuspecting target to demonstrate their execution of duties.

I have a very high respect for government and public employees, and hope the senior MCD officials will be more committed to public welfare than their men on the streets.

Seeking a remedial action and the cancellation of the fraudulent challan!

Sir, there is a full line sewer blockage in k-10, opp sbi atm, main bazar, laxmi nagar, delhi 92. From last one month. The regular cleaner are incapable to clean it. The swerage water making lot of discomfort to all people as many shops and house are here. Because of that many accident taken place. A lot of water standing on road. It is difficult to walk on road. Kindly arragne to open and clean it imdtly

I am the resident of Jharoda Gali no 9, p-2, surender colony. Our gali condition is very bad due to sewer pipe line work, work is done but from last 2 months, the roads are broken. And half of our Gali is repair, other part is still broken. Kids got injuries every day. People get trouble on daily basis, please do something for same. PFA

I am resident of Dwarka. I am writing this letter to complain you about litter problem in our neighborhood.

The main problem is rubbish collecting van does not come regularly, because of this, the litter is heavily being deposited on the road. After, two days it produces bad smell that is harmful for us. Moreover, it attracts various insects and microorganisms. Sometimes, in windy atmosphere, garbage is dispersed on the entire lane, which makes the streets untidy.

All side lanes also in front of societies are filled with garbage as no one collected it for days together. Moreover roads of Dabri flyover is full of garbage from all side. one can see mountains of garbage there. Very shabby state. Please do something about it. Rain season is nearby and we feel this situation will worson the environment completely from health point of view also. Hence, I believe this problem should be solved as early as possible.

To address this problem, I suppose that the rubbish should be collected daily or at least on alternate days to prevent the accumulation of waste. You have to look into this issue and implement stern rules to avoid these kinds of problems.

Manoj Chat Bhandar infront of N-31, West Patel Nagar, New Delhi - 110008 is an illegal hawker without any permission.please take proper action.

He has no proper permissions or license and is uncouth towards people who went to talk to him. It's a clear case of illegal Hawking causing a menace of parking and traffic jam in the whole area. Please get the hawker and the likes from him removed.

That there are many shops in KAROL BAGH with unhealthy work environment and in proper installations of fire kits. There are no safety measures for the labors working there. That as per the recent amendment in laws every commercial building need to install proper fire extinguisher kits in their shops, factories, etc. Though after the legal compulsory provision still there has been no following up of the rule by the shopkeepers. There is no single shop which has installed the necessary kit as per new amendment. It is my humble request to take strict action against the violators because it is the prime matter for safety of labours working there.

I would like to bring to your kind notice about the illegal construction/modification of flat going on in one of the flats i.e flat no. 682 of shree awas soceity..

Residents of this flat are doing all sort of illegal constructions/modifications in their flat which is leading to weakening of the structure of the complete building which is not as per original plan approved for the building.

Sir, you are requested to look into the matter urgently & stop the illegal construction in order to avoid any mishappening in near future due weakening of structure of the building.

I want to complaint about a park in front of my home, people use this park to freshen up of their pets and throw garbage, never clean the park after using it . i want that you should pay attention on planting tree in this park. It is okay if you can't appoint a gardener for planting, if you can make available free plants for us will be good because my mother does planting and she can try to maintain.

Complaint against dog in my building

Hi Sir/Madam,

My name is Abhishek would like to bring your kind attention on the problem in my building 4th floor, 1647, Gli no. 15, Govind Puri Kalkaji, Delhi-110019. There is a dog which is not allow us to go up stairs to reach my house. it’s very difficult to reach to my house at any point (day /night) . Dog try to bite and bark which is very dangerous for kids and other people.

Currently Mr. Subham (My Tenent ) is there with his family from past an hour and dog is not allow him to pass.

A quick action and help is required. Kindly take necessary action and there is already complain filed with police earlier but some person tries save that dog. A join investigation with police officer will be very effective.

This is to inform you that there is illegal construction is going in 10/4

subhash Nagar New Delhi 110027 on top floor. That is very old house and

neighbors construction also are very old and one floor add will impact other

construction as well and house will fell down. I made twice and trice

complain on your customer care but no action been taken so far. I made a

written complaint as well at Rajouri Garden MCD Building department

second floor but no action has been taken yet. would request you to please

take a necessary action on top most priority and stop that construction

immediately.

On 12 June i had made a complaint on Rajouri Garden.

Residents of QP and PP block are facing Dog menace from very long time, now the incidents of dog biting have been increased very much. Even my daughter got the dog bite in front of our main gate today morning. We have complained n number of times earlier also, but concerned authorities are doing Nothing. This has become a very serious issue now, hence I request you to please look into this matter and let us get rid of dogs immediately. I am going to raise this over social media also.

Today recorded an another event of the dog bite in my area, QP Block Pitam Pura, Delhi-110088. It is the 20th instance in last 3-4 months. All the residents are in constant fear of being bitten by the group of stray dogs. Kindly do the needful and please arrange a van to take them away from the locality.

I live in UP block, Maurya Enclave, PITAMPURA 110034. There is a Gawala from Shalimar bagh who leaves his cows and buffaloes on the roads every morning and take them back in the evening. The whole those cows roam here and there for food which causes traffic, nuisance and garbage as those cows eat from the nearest KUDADAAN and carry plastic and other garbage with them. This is big problem and most of the people in our area are irritated with all this. Kindly look into this and fine that GAwaala and ask him to keep his cattle with him and take care of them.

at ground floor there is a Union Bank ATM given on rental basis by Subhash Sethi owner of the property. On the context of ATM, Mr Subhash Sethi has illegally encroched the area outside the ATM which can we user for public parking of cars. My name is Vireshwar Kumar, I am a Central Government Officer and presently residing in the Government Quarter No. 32, Sector-1, R K. Puram, New Delhi-110022. I would like to bring your kind attention to the problem of street dog nearby my surrounding /Type-III Quarter of Sector-1, R K. Puram, New Delhi-110022.
Resident of this area are facing critical problem with the street dogs. There are so many violent street dogs in this locality because of them it’s very difficult to take step out from our houses during day & night time. I often come late night from my office and I have seen and faced this situation where these dogs barks on us and they also come closer to the motor bike rider to bite them. There have been a lot of victims of dog bites, where the victim was just passing by and these dogs attack on them. Today, my wife has also fallen victim to this and deeply beaten by a dog at 0600 Hrs on 13/06/2019. Moreover, there are many children in this area and they are afraid of these dogs attacks and don’t come out from their houses.

These dogs have not been vaccinated and thus these attacks could cause some serious infections. So this is my humble request to you to please pay attention on my letter and send a team of Dog catcher immediately in this area so that we can get rid of this problem soon.

5 severe cases happened in 1 week. 3 children, 2 adults.
There are more than 10 street dogs and became a nuisance, tragic and dangerous for the residents.
