1. I am registering this complaint on behalf of my friend, who is mother of the patient who was admitted in the hospital yesterday at day care. Mrn no. : [protected]

My friend was is so disturbed by the insensitivity of the attending dr. Ie dr. Sarita rani jaiswal under the unit of dr. Suparno chakrabarti that she is still in shock. That is why i ma now propelled to write to you.

With lots of persuasion i was able to convince my friend to go to dharamshila hospital. She was scared that the hospital is known for cancer treatment, so she wanted to avoid. She took appointment of dr. Suparno, but she was never attended by the dr. I still convinced her to continue with the attending dr.

When she went to hospital yesterday at day care, the dr and staff were very insensitive. Dr. Who is treating commented if she is a cancer patient. Now you can very well understand how the mother of the patient would have felt who at first place was so scared with the word cancer. Before iron infusion there was a vitamin drip and within few minutes it got over and no staff came to close the drip or remove it. When dr. Sarita came, she started shouting at the mother why she had not informed anyone. Mother said that she told the nursing staff but they didn't turn up. Then the dr. Started yelling at her that she doesn't know anything and she is saying just for the sake of it.

The mother was conveyed that the iron infusion will take 4 hrs to be completed. But actually it got over in less than an hour. For the entire duration the machine kept making creaking noise/sound giving an impression to her that the machine probably is not working properly.in fact she strongly felt that this hospital machines are of poor quality.

The patient's mother felt cheated and aggrieved by the insensitive behaviour of the dr. And the hospital staff. He has vowed not to go this hospital again.

You are requested to look into this matter seriously and if possible call the mother and assure her that the treatment provided was good.

2. My entire family of 5 (Elderly to children) get there treatment from this hospital. Since last 2 yrs i am a visitor almost every 2 months for my parents.

3-4 months back my mother was referred to dr. Ashish kumar (Neuro surgeon). We kept waiting for him to meet. Though dr. Abhinav gupta was there inside, we kept waiting for dr. Ashish, as we were told to meet him. When he came later, he shouted at me and my husband in front of my mother that why we didn't go to dr. Abhinav. How do we know that we have to go to dr. Abhinav if we have taken appointment of dr. Ashish. If a patient has taken appointment of dr. Ashish, why should the dr. Go to dr. Abhinav. Is it not cheating that the patient is asked to meet another dr., in the guise of one dr.? A strong woman like me got my eyes rolling in tears. And after checking my mother, he remarks were wait and watch and nothing to do. He didn't refer to a neuro physician, which he could have.
I actually could not come to terms for 3-4 days. Then we discussed among ourselves and thought of going to a neuro physician as a second opinion. We went to max and we got her treated and she is back to almost normal like before.

Drs should not be insensitive towards patients and their family, as the trauma of poor health is very depressing.
