National Highways Authority Of India [NHAI] — speed limits

Sir,
With high quality roads by nhai and good quality vehicle availability in the indian market the speed limits may be revised as follows:

2/3 lane roads - 80kmph for lmv and 60kph for all vehicles not falling under lmv category

4 lane roads with divider - 100kmph for lmv and 80kph for all vehicles not falling under lmv category

4/6/8 lane access controlled roads with divider - 120 kmph for lmv and 80kph for all vehicles not falling under lmv category

Applying a uniform speed limit of 80kmph for all types of roads after spending such huge sums to build world class roads is not rational and if the speed limits are revised as above the travel time for commuters and goods transport will significantly reduce
