Nexa — Baleno AC fan belt broke within a week

Within a week of taking the delivery of my baleno zeta petrol from 'excell autovista, thane', at 165 kms on the odometer, the ac fan belt broke while driving on the highway. This caused the ac to stop working. For this matter, i went to the dealer the very next day and complained about this. After much hassles and waiting, according to the dealer he was doing me a favor to repair the belt for free at a workshop which is 1-hr drive from the dealership whilst another authorized workshop was a 5-min drive. As i didn't want to go that far for a simple belt and neither did i wanted any of their drivers to drive my car, i denied the offer and asked for a written acknowledgement of my visit to the dealer because of the broken belt. The general manager and the coo weren't present in the showroom as always and neither did any of them receive my call. When the dealer denied me to provide any written acknowledgement of my visit there, then i recorded this video...

Now that i was with the video evidence, the dealer made a new proposal, he asked me to get the job done anywhere i like and he will pay me back whatever the amount goes into fixing it (Belt costs less than rs.500). Then i went to that 5-min drive service station (Navnit motors, thane) and got the vehicle fixed within an hour. When i asked how much to pay, the navnit personnel told me that it was a manufacturing defect due to which the belt broke and because it is less than 200 kms on the odo, i dont have to pay, the payment amount was nullified under "navnit goodwill warranty". Now that is what i call premium service. Not the one provided by nexa.
As with the manufacturing defect in the belt, this means that pre-delivery inspection was not carried out properly or it wasn't even done. Which again points the finger towards the dealer and maruti suzuki.

Conclusion: never trust maruti when it says that nexa is a premium service.in fact, it is worse than maruti suzuki's own service. Especially, excell autovista, thane has the worst service. I have bought two cars before this one and never did i get such bad service as i got from excell autovista, not just in this matter, but in many matters even before the delivery of the car.
Word of advice, never deal with excell autovista and if you want to buy from nexa, don’t hesitate to give your time in finding the right dealer.
