We booked painting service from no broker. Got a message from no broker official WhatsApp and app saying Nobroker professional "Tanveer" will visit our house for inspection and give quotation for service. His number is +91 [protected]. He came to our house, introduced himself as a no broker professional, looked at the property and what work had to be done, gave quotation of Rs 55, 000. My mom agreed to it and then to start service he asked for OTP. This OTP was sent from No broker only. Next day they started the work at my house. At the end of the first day of work he asked for 50 percent payment in advance saying that we have to pay so that they can procure materials for the job. My mom said ok and asked for details of making payment. He gave his personal bank account detail to which my mom objected and said why do we have to make payment to him directly and why not pay to no broker company account. He said this is how no broker works. They send no broker verified and employed contractors for job to whom we pay directly. Since he came to our house using info we shared with no broker and also took OTP before starting the job we were made to believe that he is working through no broker only.
The only reason we called no broker professional was so that work will be done professionally, otherwise we had many other options. Now the problem is that this Tanveer guy hired local unprofessional workers for the job. They have not used the promised quality of paints and not even promised number of coats. All over the living room the walls look shabby, there are many uneven textures and totally unacceptable quality of work.
When we asked him to fix the paint job he simply refused. When we said we will complaint to no broker he said do whatever you want, no broker will not listen to us as he gives them crores of business annually. He said he is a big time contractor and this is how he works. He is not fixing the paint job and also refusing to return our money.
After complaining to no broker we came to know that he has committed fraud and our service never started with the OTP. He has used info from no broker and took the job in his personal capacity. Now no broker is doing nothing. Everytime we call the customer care number and narrate the entire incident they say this is a serious matter and they will get back to us in 24 hours. We have called them almost 7-8 times and everytime they are giving the same answer.
Looks like nobroker is not taking this fraud seriously. Before taking legal action I thought I should use this portal. If you guys can help out please respond
