[Resolved]  Nobroker — No communication about refund post cancellation of service

My name is Jacqueline M Kuruvilla. I reside at Koramangala . I had requested for a home visit from Nobroker home renovation department as I was interested in renovating the property and wanted a quotation for the same. Mr.Anees, the nobroker engineer was assigned in the 3rd week of June to visit the property and provide a quotation.
I informed I had no intention to renovate the property during the Monsoon season as the property had leakage issues and I was getting the water proofing done on the roof(by another company). Hence, if during the rains the leakage continued despite water proofing, then the renovation would be a waste and hence the house would have to be demolished.
After the quotation of Rs. Sixteen lakhs was given, I received a call from Mr.Faisal from the sales department, who told me that I was eligible for a discount and my new quotation was Rs.twelve lakhs and I have to pay a deposit amount to “Lock” this discount, as post January this discount may not be available any longer. Multitple times I told him that I would not do any renovation during the rainy season which I expected would last till December atleast as I was worried about the leakage and hence complete waste of renovation. He convinced me that I would not lose my money in the event of cancellation and that this deposit amount was to lock in the discount. He assured me that no decision would be made and no vendor finalization would be done without informing me. I told him not to treat my home like a sales target and the same was assured to me.
I agreed to this and paid the deposit amount of Rs.60, 000 on 22/06/2023.
After the water proofing for the roof was done, I noticed that leakage had begun towards the end of October and hence I spoke to a senior Civil Engineer who told me that the house has to be demolished in total. Hence I informed the same to Mr.Faisal via email on 03/11/2023 who has not replied to my mail. I had to make multiple calls to nobroker renovation customer care who finally gave me a call back around the 5th of November and I was connected to the project manager who did not give me any reply regarding my refund but only told me that the assurance of refund was communicated to me by the sales department. At this moment I was worried I would be bounced around between the various departments of Nobroker home renovation. He told me to send a message on the whatsapp group which was made for my home renovation. I messaged on the same group- again no response. I sent an email to customer care- they responded saying someone would get back to me- 1 month passed and no one did. I sent an email again- no response, my 3rd email- I get a response saying someone would get back- I’ve been waiting for this call back for a while now. I am worried I fell for a marketing and sales gimmick.
