I purchased 2 year extended warranty for my Dell Laptop purchased at Croma tambaram.
However when i purchased it was told if there is any issue with laptop and not caused by physical damage it can be replaced or serviced for free.
But when the service person saw some crack near the laptop USB port and mentioned they wont take it because of physical damage and want to pay if it needs to be fixed.
When i reached Customer care representative he said the same and says that when the technician opens the laptop to fix the keyboard issue the damage on the other side will become worse so he wants to pay for the service.
I see this is an complete scam. If you buy an laptop and use it for around 3 years i hope there might be some cracks on the edges. But because of this they reject the service request. And i have paid around 6000 for the extended warranty.
