I bought a panasonic inverter ac from reliance digital store in shipra mall, ghaziabad on may 6, 2019. It was installed by the technician gaurav on may 9, 2019 who also switched it on to show that it is in working condition, and despite the installation being free charged me inr 1740/- for wire, stand, and prime pipe of which no intimation or information was given to me by anyone.
On may 10, 2019 when i switched on the ac, it didn't cool the room. I booked a complaint on panasonic customer care number and a technician visited me on may 11, 2019 at around 7:20 pm. After checking, i was told that there is a gas leak in the appliance, and i asked the technician to replace the appliance with a new one.
May 12, 2019; i called panasonic customer care, talked to the team, the team lead vijay and even the area sales manager for ghaziabad, who confirmed that the replacement has to be done by the store where the purchase of the appliance was made.
I also talked to reliance digital store and they told me that the appliance will be replaced once panasonic technicians tell them that the appliance has a problem.
Both panasonic and reliance digital have been tossing the ball in each other's court and despite spending so much i haven't been able to use the ac. And all i have been doing is making calls and waiting for appropriate response from either panasonic or reliance digital.
This is a final direction to replace to appliance by tomorrow, failing which the matter will be taken up in consumer court to seek relief for not just selling a bad appliance but also the harassment and unprofessional post sales by both panasonic and reliance digital.
