Panasonic — Unresponsive, uncaring service for Water Purifier

We bought a Panasonic Water Purifier in May 2014 when it was newly launched - Model TK-CS70. In October the cartridge change light came on and we registered a phone request with Panasonic to change the filter. After a few follow-ups we realized the Indian arm of Panasonic doesn't know how to replace the cartridges in this water purifier. In December I raised a formal complaint with the customer service center. Till date all we have is a few phone calls and emails in gaps of 2-weeks each, but no resolution. In between Panasonic sent a franchise service agent to our home to take photographs of the water purifier and the placement of its cartridges. But after that total silence and no productive response. Except for 3 emails each saying they will get back with a future date. More proof Panasonic India doesn't know about the products its selling to unsuspecting customers domestically and doesn't know how to service the products.CAUTION - DO NOT BUY THE PANASONIC WATER PURIFIERS. THE INDIAN CO. DOESN'T HAVE A CLUE ABOUT HOW TO SERVICE THEM. DON'T RISK YOUR FAMILY'S HEALTH BY TRUSTING YOUR BASIC NEED OF WATER PURIFICATION TO PANASONIC.
