Pantaloons Fashion & Retail — Money not refunded

On March 7, 2021, I made a purchase of Rs. 1704/- at Pantaloons, GIP Mall, Noida, Uttar Pradesh.

At the billing counter, I made the payment via Gpay (UPI). While the payment via Gpay was in process, the lady informed me that she hasn't received the money and asked me to do it via Paytm wallet. So, I made the payment via Paytm wallet. This way, the money got deducted twice and credited to pantaloons twice for one transaction.

On the very same day, I brought this double payment issue to the notice of customer care at Pantaloons store and they asked me to wait till the next day to get the refund. However, it's been 6 days now that I haven't received any refund even after repeatedly contacting customer care service at Pantaloons, GIP Mall. Moreover, the concerned person at customer care misrepresenting the fact and clearly lying. First, he says that we haven't received any money via Paytm and later, he says the bill has been generated against the payment made via Paytm. Of course, the bill got generated against the payment made via Paytm because the payment made via Gpay neither the lady at the cash counter noticed nor I received any notification regarding the same. It was discover later that meanwhile in the process of Paytm, payment via Gpay also got credited to the account of Pantaloon, hence I requested the refund immediately in the store, but I haven't received it yet, which is so frustrating.

I am a salaried employee and I am in urgent need of money. When it is about a payment you deduct the money instantly, but, when it is about the refund, you're making your customer suffer mentally. Please look into the matter and refund my money at the earliest or else I need to initiate legal action for defrauding and mentally harassing your customer.
