Pantaloons — Why mandstory to install app to billing instead of direct card or upi payment

Hello,
I love your collections.
Two days back i went to a pantaloons store in city centre 2 kolkata (near chinar park/newtown location).
During the time of bill payment my father was being asked for mandatory installation of pantaloons app to make the payment.
But we wished to do the payment via card or upi.
The billing agent was in a constant argument regarding mandatory installation of pantaloons app to my above 60 year old father.

After a lot of argument a senior agent allowed us to pay the bill via upi.

If customer can pay via card or upi then why so argument had to face??
My father and mother is old.
Pantaloons city centre 2 kolkata newtown area branch do this for bill payment??

I nowhere in google found that installation of pantaloons app is mandatory for bill payment.

I request you to allow the facility of card and upi payment smoothly including cash payment service.
