Pretty interesting site. The offer discounts as paytm cash, this cash can be used for other purchases/ recharges on the site.

Now here's the bit of genius that makes the site so successful in spite of the site being a slow and insipid; most large value transactions are accepted and then nothing happens! The customer waits and waits and then tries to contact the customer care. You will notice there is no email id and the customer care no on the site will not work. After some amount of research the customer will manage to reach the customer care. The customer care at this point of time will sent an email profusely apologizing for the order getting cancelled.

the customer will now get his cash reversed through Paytm cash! so now the customer is stuck with Paytm cash with which he can only make low value transactions.

this ensures the following -

The customer is bonded to the site as he is stuck with a whole lot o[censored]seless paytm cash

The firm gets interest free working capital

Pros:

You can at times get good discounts(as with most ponzi schemes this is the hook)

very interesting case study for those so inclined

Provides a brilliant model for entrepreneurs with flexible morals

Cons:

as with any gambling casino, you will make some good discounts at first but in the end the house(paytm) always wins

Most Ponzi schemes will eventually collapse, so if you one of the unlucky ones who are left stranded when Paytm collapses.well bad luck!
