Paytm Mall — company supplied defective bead curtains refuses to remedy fault

Order No. [protected] dated[protected] was placed online Via phone no. [protected] for the supply of two numbers "Discount4product Crystal Bead And Glass Drop Curtain Partition Spaces Wedding Decoration Home Hotel Shop Decoration " ( CURTAINS ). Each of the CURTAINS was to have 20 strands. The payment of Rs. 3704.00 was made at the time of the order through Paytm Wallet. ( a cash back of Rs. 463.00 was also offered for each CURTAIN.
The CURTAINS were received on[protected], duly packed in two separate boxes. The two boxes contained numbered strands, wrapped in separate packets. The contents of the first box were checked and found as specified in the website, the contents of the other box also appeared to be in order.
A few days later i.e. on[protected], while putting up the second curtain we found that only 16 strands were in the box instead of the specified 20, also the length of the corresponding strands were smaller than the first curtain.
The matter was immediately brought to the notice of M/s Paytm Malls, but they have refused to entertain my complaint because more than seven days have elapsed from the date the product was delivered to us, and as per their policy all complaints should be made within 7 days.
The CURTAINS even after the cashback are quite expensive ( Rs. 2778.00 )and additional expenses were required to put them up. The two curtains were ordered by myself for the two identical windows of my drawing room. The incongruous appearance of the two curtained windows is agonizing as also the attitude of M/s Paytm Malls in refusing to make amends is causing anguish.
I am a senior citizen and the matter is causing me considerable inconvenience.
