Paytm — Recharge done on wrong number for airtel phone

I did an online recharge via PayTM on my phone number but unfortunately it happened on another number (similar to mine with just one digit difference). I want to know what can be done for this now? I have contacted paytm before and they asked me to contact airtel for the same. Have done that many times already and except for putting the blame game on eachother both organisations have no viable solution. I on my part don't want 750 Rs. to go down the drain. Pls give me a satisfactory solution to this problem and treat this as extremely important.
