[Resolved]  Popular Maruti — severe degradation to service - unskilled labor-force - fraudulent methods

Job repair # jc18019722 opened on mar, 5th stands incomplete as on date. There's a definite need for sr. Rep or works manager to at least keep the customer informed by when the delivery could happen. I find it extremely difficult to find the status of my car in the workshop past 20+ days. I have made 3 visits to workshop already to check the status of my vehicle, since it's easier to find out what they are doing with vehicle. The external damage wasn't huge and initial assessment was to perform minimal work (Replacing bumper, bonnet) but to my surprise they have to take out the entire engine and other parts of the vehicle to make this look extremely complicated. When asked as to why so much of work is required the answer from sr. Rep is that you hold a "bumper to bumper" car insurance so why worry! I'm getting a feeling already they have screwed up my car. Each time they complain spare parts are unavailable or something. Very disappointed.

Complaint raised - v[protected] and someone just called me to inform vehicle should be ready by fri, 29th mar, but cannot provide an assurance that work carried out is upto the level of satisfaction. Pathetic service. I will never ever go with maruti or recommend anyone to go with popular in future. I know its waist effort to put up this complaint here, since none will ever bother responding but somewhere i have to raise up this matter with maruti head-office directly and find this platform most reliable to raise up such issues.

I had to escalate to find a resolution. If customer service works only this way, then its better to set the expectation as such with consumer. Each time - consumers should "escalate" every matter to gain attention and receive prompt service, else it will be overlooked as in this case. Popular motors I assumed is most recognized but this incident made me think otherwise. Issue got attention from works manager who promised to deliver the car in couple of days (being in the workshop for almost 20 days) they could finalize the pending work and get back to me with ETA. Thank you!

Post raising a complain the service engineer ensured to keep me informed on the steps involving repair and services. I had to taken up the matter and escalate to get the car delivered and as on date its running without any issues. Thank you!

I had called for a breakdown repair and just for battery backup they had billed me a amount of 460. This is too much for 5 minutes repair.
