I am writing this with great disappointment regarding the status of my car (Tata Nexon) which was given for repair and service to PPS Motors Service Center, Chrompet - Chennai on 24th December 2024. The reason for the opted repair was the impact of flood in Chennai in December. Although my car was not majorly impacted in the flood, as the water level rose upto only 3/4th of the tyre, I was told that the car repair would take about a month and that my car would be delivered only by the end of January 2024.
But until my last visit to the service center a week ago, the car is said to be still in the service center waiting for one part to arrive still (Car steering rack). However, I frequently kept receiving messages once in every 10 days stating that the car would be delivered by Feb 15th, end of February, 2nd week of March, end of March and mid of April. To my great disappointment, none of my calls for the last two weeks have been attended or responded to and now I am more concerned if my car will even be delivered at all.
I have been patient for these four months, only with my understanding of the service load situation. But I strongly feel it is against ethics to dismiss a customer's calls especially when the property is in their possession for nearly four months. Also, I am angered with the fact that I am being given false promises on the status of delivery. My husband has even visited the service center more than five times now, which is causing us great distress. While my car is only 1.5 years old, I am being told that it is difficult to get the spare part as they have uplifted the car to a new version. As a costumor, how am I expected to keep purchasing newer version every year, just because they keep updating, despite when my car is only 2022 model, which is not very old.
I sincerely hope you understand how in the first place, our car being affected by the flood is a distressing scenario for us. In addition, this behaviour and attitude of the service center and the staff are causing us more distress and anger.
As a customer, I request and demand a quick response in this regard. Otherwise, we do not have option other than to sit and protest in PPS Motors telling people not to purchase from their showroom.
