On February 1, 2023, I have submitted request for fore-clouser /preclouser in CP Delhi Branch[protected]. It is week over and I am not even aware of status of request. Customer care portal does not even show info on raised SR.
This is the only finance company, which ask for 21 working days to even provide the amount details one has to pay to get account close.
I had bad experience with them regarding interest rate, which they never lower for existing customers but still all my EMI were on time and never get delayed.
I have to sell out unit due to personal emergency and thus have submitted request for foreclouser.
I am not based in NCR these days but due to their process of submitting request only at home branch, I had to visit there.
I visit their local branch in Chandigarh sector 35 B also but behavior of representative was not all cooperative. Representative even gave strange statement that we do not process preclouser requests between 23 and 6th of every month. So As per representative, 21 working days means full month excluding Saturday and Sunday and then add 14 days where they process these requests. So effectively as per PNBHFL, they take 40 days just to provide information on amount one need to submit to close the account. And after that 10-15 working days to close home loan and return documents.
It is nothing but harassment and against banking rules where one can close home loan any time. PNBHFL basically wants to extract interest of two to three months before closing the home loan. They cannot simply excuse that this is their process. If it is their process then they are bound to charge interest till date, one submit the request and not when they are actually closing that request.
I hope any one who is reading this will avoid dealing with PNBHFL. Opt for any other bank, even if they charge bit higher initially. Remember its PNBHFL and not PNB.
I do not know how PNB has provided its name to this corporation. PNB should also be held responsible for cheating and harassment of customer by PNBHFL. Was this information helpful? |
