Respected Sir/Madam,
I am an exisiting home loan customer of PNB from 2018. On June 29, 2021 visited PNB banjara hills branch for rate of interested reduction (after multiple calls to customer care as no proper response visited in person) taking appointment from website. Customer care officer in the PNB office has offered 7.25% as revised ROI, and later received mail confirmation on July 9, 2021 (Mail attached) . As an acknowledgement when i responded back to the mail from [protected]@pnbhousing.com, i received a reply stating to reply from registered mail id. After multiple back and forth i have observed my mail id in the bank records given as "suresh.[protected]@gmail.com)" (Please note end bracket ")" is entered after my registered mail id), hence when the customer care team trying to check with registered mail id it is not accepting because extra end bracket. The same i have informed team but no response, so i called bank and spoke to the customer care officer who helped me in revised ROI and she assured it will be taken care and she will do needful in getting by revised ROI is changed to 7.25%. In May 2022 due to revised repo rate from RBI, i received mail from PNB stating the ROI will be revised effective June 1, 2022. I was under impression it will be increase by .50% . While check the Account statement in Aug 2022 i was shocked to see the current rate of interest is 10.25% which is almost 3% higher than what it was revised in July 2021 from 7.25%. I immediately rushed to the bank on Aug 20, 2024 and met customer care officer (i could not find the customer care officer whom is spoke in June 2021 and i was told she left the organization) and explained him the context. He gone through all the mails shown by me and checked internal records and said since i have not acknowledge the ROI is not revised. He also acknowledged the wrong mail id "closed bracket at end of the mail id" is the reason for customer care not able to help. After lot of discussion, he advised me to re submit the request for correction of mail id and ROI. As i have no choice have done as per the advice of customer care office. At present the mail is corrected and ROI revised to 7.75%. Having said, due to technical issue from PNB recording my mail id wrong in their records i lost the benefit of reduced ROI 7.25 %, for a period of 12 months and ended up paying high interest leading to extended EMIs. Humble request to your honourable offices to take up my case with PNB authorities and help me getting back benefit of the extra ROI paid by me.
Thanking you
Your's Sincerely
Suresh Babu Agnigundala
