[Resolved] Pureit / Hindustan Unilever — pureit issue within warranty | |||
Please note that i have purchased pureit water purifier [ro + uv] of hindustan unilever [bill attached] on 15/11/2019 from great eastern trading co, garia, kolkata for rs 11000. The pureit machine was installed at my address located at flat no 3b, snigdhaneer apartment, balia, garia station road, kolkata - 700084 on 18/11/2019. The installation [receipt attached] was done from barsha enterprise located at sonarpur, kolkata - 700150. In the month of march [within 3 months], blue light started blinking and when we contacted customer care, we were told that sediment filter to be changed for which we have to pay. At the time of purchase we were never told that sediment filter will not be covered in warranty as in warranty card, it is stated that no external parts will fall under warranty but i think without sediment filter no water purifier will work. On 10/03/2020, person [uttam naskar] visited our address and changed the sediment filter for which we paid rs 350 [invoice attached] Now, since 13/04/2020, red light has started blinking. We faced the problem again in just 4 months from purchase. When we contacted the technical person [uttam naskar] who changed the sediment filter last time, he said that we have to change all sediment filters for which we have to pay rs 2650 + visit charges. I immediately called the customer care at [protected] and i spoke with one lady and she said that sediment filters are not part of warranty. This is so cheap from a big company like hindustan unilever who has such a big brand image. We also used water purifier from eureka forbes before where we never faced any issue. We used that machine for 10 long years with hardly any issue arising out of the machine. I demand justification. I don't want to keep such water purifier at home. Either you refund me the money i paid for buying the machine and take away the machine or give me replacement. This is a defective machine sold to me. Was this information helpful? | |||
