I booked 5 tickets Online for the movie Ghajini 7pm show for 1st january 2008 pvr vikaspuri from my citibank mastercard (credit card), that very moment tickets were booked and money was taken from my credit card account as per there website i had to take a transaction ID or my credit card so i took my credit card because i did not receive any transaction ID, when i went to pvr vikaspuri i was told by the booking officer that there is no ticket booked under my name or with this credit card. Puzzled i met cinema manager nitin who didnt bother to talk to us & said, "do what you want to do just go away". I was charged Rs130 each + Rs 75 Convenience charge that adds upto Rs 725. I want to bring this to your kind attention that i paid full amount in advance on top of it i paid a Convenience charge which was not so Convenient i went from dwarka to vikaspuri to see the movie with my family and came back with some sour memories what happened with me should not happen with anybody else this is cher unfare trade practice & fraud commited on the part of pvr cinemas, I demand the authorities slap pvr with huge fines & compensate suitably & teach these companies a lesson THANK YOU

I had a v bad experience when i went to watch movie at PVR Cinemas in Mulund Today afternoon.I have a one yr old child, who happened to sleep in the car during the long drive from Thane to Mulund. I had taken little food & 1 biscuit packet for her since she hadnt eaten proper lunch from home. But the security & the staff did not let us take the biscuit inside saying that its against rules. How can a reputed Multiplex make such stringent rules - that too for a 1 yr old child. FInally, after too much requests, they said that the biscuit can be taken during interval. What kind of rule is this now? I do understand outside food not being allowed for adults. But how can anyone make a 1 yr old child understand that she can be hungry only during interval. When popcorn & other stuff are allowed during the whole movie period, why deprive a 1 yr old chiild from her basic needs? Later during interval, the biscuit wasnt served. I had to go & remind them.

Pls think twice before setting up such illogical, non customer friendly rules.

In case you plan to continue such rules, pls mention this on the ticket itself

there is very high and the unfair price of the snacks available in the theater premises of the PVR cinemas. the popcorn, cold drink rates are very high and unfair. no doubt the price of the tickets of the movie are reduce by the goverment but they are looting the consumer by selling them costlier snacks in their premises. so please check out about the problem.

Not only the snack price, they are now charging 350 Rs for weekend movie tickets & 250 Rs. for weekday movie tickets. Along with this the Popcorn & Pepsi prices are charged 75 Rs. each. This is totally unfair & the government needs to look into these private cinemas like PVR who is charging such an high price making it difficult for middle class families to watch movies with their families.
I am wondering that still people go & watch thus encouraging then to higher their prices.
I have stopped completely going to PVR & will urge people also to stop going & watch movies in local theaters rather than going to PVR. Spending 1000 bucks for a couple to watch movies on weekend is too much.

soft drinks and snacks — Higher Rate

      Hi All,

Last week I went to movie at Thaluri Theatre @ ECIL X Road, In the intervel session i have ordered an pulpy orange(small) and a lays. The rate as per the Items are Pulpy Orange 20 Rs and Lays(15 Rs) but they have increased the cost of lays to 20Rs by pasting a small sticker on that and also have taken 25 Rs for pulpy orange, when i gave him 50 Rs intend he gave a change of 5 Rs.
when i asked them, the only statement i got "if you want to take plz take else leave it".

They are almost costing 5rs more per item.

Can someone take action on them.

      Thanks & Regards
      Rakesh
What is the cost of -

      1 nachos
      2medium popcorns and
      3 small cold drinks
I cant understand or digest that a pack of medium or regular pop corn is RS.160 at PVR velachery
Really speaking pop corn is the cheapest snack one can afford. Are these pop corns made in heaven or by GOd.

What are the Govt food inspectors doing in this country or state .
where could these be made in to a complaints so that consumer rights could be established
i went to PVR Forum, Bengaluru on 4/23. The smallest available popcorn cup is priced at Rs.190 and if you add masala and cheese, it is costs about Rs.270! Popcorns are supposed to be affordable and it is unimaginable to pay more than what the ticket costs!

I dont know who does these checks and stops fleecing the customers.
They charged Rs 190 in PVR Hyderabad for a regular PEPSI. If there is any cause for it?

      Tickets black

Mr mukesh and nisha at pvr cinemas is selling tickets in black
is ok to treat poor people by unfair means marketing and sales ?
      Water price 30/- :(
Yeah, that's right. Price of snacks id really too high, i am totally agree with him and it should be down.
Are they putting gun on urs head to buy ???

dont buy if you feel that its high.. Common guys dont crib always for cost ... See the investment they did ..
Pvr snacks price has to be investigated by legal authorities. Ticket costing is 120each and snacks cost around 1000 just for 2 people and quality doesn't worth it
High Cost for regular soft drinks like Mirinda.. i.e., Rs. 190 for a regular glass. It should be reduced to half for common man. Else PVR should allow the people to carry snacks/soft drinks to carry with them while entering into cinemas.
This applies to almost all PVRs in Bangalore. If you are talking about the F&B prices, they are absolutely insane at PVRs and meant to loot the patrons. PVR folks, if you seeing - you are supposed to make profit but what you are doing is called profiteering (and very unethical).

I will tell you about yesterday (4th May 2018)

      1 coffee - Rs 140
      1 bottle of water (500 ml) - Rs 60
1 cheese popcorn (regular size) - Rs 270
      2 samosas - Rs 120
      1 Regular Pepsi - Rs 220

How on earth are these rates set and how are they even justifiable? Rs 60 for 500 ml of water? Really? The price of a simple filter coffee has gone up from Rs 80 some time back to Rs. 140 now. Heck, it has increased by Rs. 10 from my previous visit (less than a month ago). Government needs to place serious curbs. We citizens need to get this thing in check

        Hello Sir,

I would like to file a complaint against the PVR cinemas. Last week, I went to Ambience Mall where I purchased 2 tickets for movie “The Dark Night” where the hall was almost empty at 9.30pm and then I decided to cancel my tickets at 10 pm and the show was starting at 10.45 pm, with some fine if any, as my daughter started to cry and I had to take her home. So I went to the counter for a refund with some deduction if any, they refused to entertain and told that once the ticket is purchased nothing can be done. I waster Rs.350 and felt very bad. Is it fine for PVR cinema to charge for a service they didn’t provide? Please confirm and/or take action against them. Thank you.

        Regards,
        Nabeel

PVR Cinemas — cancellation and refund of movie tickets

NEVER EVER BOOK TICKETS FOR PVR CINEMAS ONLINE. as I have already lost Rs.1300 as I had booked my tickets for the K row and received the booking for E row. This is their computer error for which I had to suffer. I plead to the consumers forum to please take up this matter urgently.

I would like to bring to consumer and PVR Management notice a major fraud happening in PVR Cinemas Bangalore. I purchased two tickets for evening movie on 15/07/09 at counter and the person gave me two tickets. I entered the cinema hall and found the seats were already allotted to someone else. When i asked the ticket checker, he said it is a printing mistake and requested me to adjust and sit in front rows where there are empty seats. Later after the movie i realized that the tickets given to me were cancelled by someone. In the application/software the ticket is cancelled and issued to other persons. But the hard-copy of the ticket was held by the counter person and it was given to me. I am sure that the money collected from me will go into counter person's pocket and not to PVR management. I cant believe PVR employees making frauds like this...

          regards,
          karthik

I was cheated yesterday at PVR Plaza Cannaught Place, New Delhi. I wanted one ticket for film Heroine for 7.15pm show in the normal class. At the ticket counter at 6.50 pm I was told that one ticket is available only in the the 4th row from the screen in normal class, but in premier class one ticket is available 4th row from the back. I got the premier class one. However, inside the theatre, I saw that except the last row in the normal class all the rows were vacant and that many seats were vacant in the rear rows of premier class. Then I understood, the countre boy cheated me...he wanted to sell me a higher priced ticket hence lied that ticket is available only 4th row from the screen in normal class. So, PVR people cheat this way!!!

            Overcharging

            Dear Sir/Madam,

PVR, Inox and other multiplexes grossly overcharge for refreshments. For example a 500 ml softdrink at PVR costs Rs 60 (almost 3 times the market rate) whereas a 300 ml cup costs Rs. 50 (5 times the market rate). There is no justification for such gross overcharging. In addition, by keeping the price of the 300 ml and 500 ml almost the same, they are indirectly forcing consumers to purchase 500 ml cups.br...

In the evening of 20 july'08, me and my family decided to go for the movie "KISMAT KONNECTION". We checked the newspaper(The Times of India) for the cinemas and the timing of the same. The newspaper showed "KISMAT KONNECTION" running in pvr saket and sahara mall, gurgaon(newspaper cuttings can be produced as documentary evidence). Since we live in connaught place we decide to go to pvr saket for the 8pm show. To our surprise they were not showing the movie, so we decided that since we have already burnt so much of fuel coming all the way from connaught place and taken so much time off for the movie so we were forced to watch something at pvr saket itself and bought tickets for the movie "CONTRACT". When we entered the hall we saw a board showing " NOW SHOWING-KISMAT KONNECTION". We were thoroughly confused and shocked, so we confronted the managment. The managment(Manager Mr. Yash) was very casual towards this and put the entire blame on the newspaper even though they had displayed a billboard with "NOW SHOWING- kISMAT KONNECTION" sign. They themselves agreed to the fact that it was not the first time it had happened, but they have failed to take any action towards this and thus causing so much inconvenience, mental agony and financial loss to us. Since it is deficiency in service they should pay us damages of Rs10000.

The pvr counter staff i really rude. Me and by friends went to watch jaane tu ya jaane na on 8 july, our show was at 5 40, we reached at 5 45, i and were 5 mins late already. As i had booked the show on phone, i had to avail the tickets by showing the pvr guy a slip which i had recieved. The manager was pretty rude when i asked him to hurry a bit, beacause he was buzy talking to his staff member not related to our ticket. So now this staff guy got pissed at us. Was giving me angry looks. So even i got angry & sternly asked him to give me the tickets fast. But he intentionely delayed printing out the ticket. In the end we were 20 mins late. 15 mins beacause of pvr staff. 5 mins work done in 15 mins and rude behaviour. So any pvr incharge...Train your StaFF!!
Please check good you change after paid, the girl casher all time forgot give you full change, as you go fast for not lost first movie part, you no check you change.

They neither offer a sorry or a remore or a discount instead made us buy another ticket and on top of it did some amount of man-handlign also by snatching tickets form me...
