Hi,

Im Dharmesh Goswami a resident of Gurgaon. I had purchased a Blackberry Torch 9800 in the month of Dec 2010. The Handset development Slider problem and got replaced by Redington India Private Ltd. The new set again gave me the same problem, to which the company replaced the same in 7 working days. to my dismay, this set has also developed the same slider problem

Now I have been sendint mails to redingtons india head for a solution, the reply i received was that a representative will get in touch. Mr. Rohit Bali from Reddington cald me and explained that the technical team is looking into it and will come up with a permanent solution. I requested him that i have twice visited your service center and not interested in repeating the same.

This communication happened 3 weeks back and Im yet to hear from Reddington.

I would like to register my grievance against redingtons unprofessional attitute towards consumers like me.

    HI,
    This is SUNIL GUPTA an Account Manager in TATA communications Ltd., New Delhi. Working in a US shift time zone. We got offer from company to buy Blackberry handset and get the reimbursement.

    I bought a New 9300 Blackberry 3G Mobile phone from E-Future at Nehru Place, New Delhi on 3rd of June,2011 ( Friday ) evening and went to the office. On same Day in office, when I checked my handset by just putting Battery and switch on without SIM, I found there is problem in Track pad of Handset and decided to replace it on Monday.

    Monday morning to call to E- future, Nehru Place from where I bought my handset, they said you need to visit your nearest Blackberry Redington customer service centre. On Tuesday, 7th of June,11 I visited to Lajpat Nagar , New Delhi Redington Blackberry service centre with seal pack of all Accessories and Un used Blackberry handset along with box.

    They have checked the handset and told me that we need to wait for 24 hours to get approved for DOA to change handset with Accessories and kept my box including all seal pack Accessories and called me to come tomorrow after 1 PM and gave me the acknowledgment receipt of Box.

    Next day, 8th of June,11 Wednesday, I reached to service centre to collection DOA and change the handset. And found till then they had not received approval for DOA and called me to wait and I wait for almost around 4 hours there and after around 6 PM they gave me DOA with my BOX and told me to get it change from E- future by showing DOA. I check thoroughly Box and found that charger seal is opened and looks replaced and older but did not notice for DATA CABLE, I told the person about replacement of recharger and he said your Accessories will also get change with your handset so no worries, because I was getting late for office and ran to E-future to change handset and Accessories.

    At E- future, when I opened blackberry Box which I collected back from service centre with DOA and found my Blackberry handset charger had been replaced with old charger and DATA Cable was not in Box. Then I tried to call service centre but by then It was closed around 7.30 PM, then E- Future had change only my handset.

    Next day, 9th of June,11 Thursday, Morning. I reached again to service centre Lajpat Nagar and complaint about replacement of charger and missing of DATA Cable. He said I can change your charge with your New One but won’t give the DATA Cable. Then I said both the things have done here. Replacement of charger with old one and theft of DATA Cable. But they are not ready to give back my Data Cable.

    Now, I want Redington to investigate and take action against the Persons of Lajpat Nagar, service centre, New Delhi under RTI Act and get back my New Blackberry Charger and DATA cable ASAP.

    IF I don’t get any response from you or action against them in next 24 hours, I’ll lodge complaint in consumer forum and will sent copy of this letter to nearest Police station of Lajpat Nagar and lodge a FIR as well to action against and due to all this, I lost 1 day office, time and CAR fuel will charge for it as well.

    Blackberry has been giving me a lot of problem as my new Bold 4 died just 10 days within i took it and that to in a very important official trip outside of India, the compliant no is 25702, since the last 10 days i am asking for a dealer replacement from the new delhi lajpat nagar service centere and not getting any help, there are many dissatisfied blackberry users and blackberry has also blocked people to write anything on their wall as in that case there will be just complaints and complaints and complaints, i will be forced to take legal action against the co if my problem is not sorted within a day or so, contact me on [protected]@gmail.com [protected], i have given the handset in new Del at locate near service center..

      1. Purchased a ‘Blackberry Bold 9000’ handset (hereinafter referred as ‘handset’) having an IMEI No. [protected].

      2. The warranty of the handset purchased was valid till 13.02.2011.


      3. In the month of October 2010, the handset was not switching on and therefore, had taken the same to the Okhla Service Centre. The handset was returned after repair work after 15 days despite having been told that the same would be repaired in 10 days. It is significant to note that at the time of delivery the handset, the internal components like Warranty seal etc. were not shown.


      4. January 2011, again faced the same problem and on 29 January 2011, took the handset to Okhla Service Centre. I was informed by the executive that the warranty seal was tampered.


      5. On 3rd February 2011, i was informed by the executives that the handset was sent to Blackberry HLRC for warranty check, when it was found that the WARRANTY SEAL was missing.


      6. I responded and tried to explain the executive that it was not possible from my side because whenever there was any problem with the handset, the same was taken to the authorised service centre.


      7. It is noteworthy to mention that it is not feasible that a person would take sophisticated equipment like Blackberry handset under warranty for repair to open market, which would be upon payment.


      8. It is not even remotely possible for me to remove (not even tamper as the reason given by your executive is missing) the warranty seal, which won’t serve any purpose to me. Moreover, I had taken his handset for repair only in October 2010 and thereafter in January 2011 and both the times to the service centre at Okhla.


      9. According to the executives Blackberry HLRC has rejected the warranty of my handset for the following reasons:


      “a. Pad component is damaged due to badly rework.

      b. Pad of the battery connector rubber badly rue to which phone power on intermittently.

      c. Warranty seal is missing.”

        I have procured Blackberry 9700 last year in March and had to send it to authorized service centre in December, Redington India Pvt. Ltd., in Okhla, New Delhi. I had to send it to them as the trackpad was not functioning. Though my handset was under warranty but still they charged me 1500INR for servicing. To my utter surprise, they were not in a position toocked justify why did they charge me the above amount. Now again I am facing the same problem with the trackpad and have to send it back to them. I politely requested for a replacement of the current handset as it seems that this particular handset has some sort of manufacturing defect. But I was very rudely told that "DO WHATEVER YOU FEEL LIKE WE WILL NOT REPLACE IT". I tried to make them understand that my warrnaty would be over early next month and as it is a defective handset the repairing cost would drill a hole in my pocket.

        I am really shaken by their behaviour and regret buying a BLACKBERRY handset. I spent 30000INR for a better technology which turned out to be a fiasco.

          Dear Concerned person

          I have purchased a Blackberry mobile 8350 dated 16.06.2010 IMEI No: [protected] from Mobile store against the invoice no: 61059.

          According to warranty contract, this handset is still under warranty. On date 3rd december, this phone's display occured some problem and i deposited the same on 9th december 2010 to Redington India Limited Okhla.

          After few days they said that this phone had water seapage problem and it cannot be repaired niether under service contract or on paid expenses.

          I tried and talked so many peaple in Redington like Mr Rohit Bali (Team Leader), Mr Deepak and they all are in denial mood.

          Now pls suggest me how i can rely on a company of such a good name and denying the services they have promised at time of purchase.

          Need justice on the same.

          I have faced the exact same problem. They said water sepage and want to charge me for repair when i am 100% sure there was no seepage. I had also handed in my phone at the Okla branch. I seriously think they are upto mischief.

          Anyway you think we could alert blackberry international ? I know another person who also faced the same problem with the Okla service center. Either blackberry phones are designed wrong or the Okla service center just damages the phone.
          You wont believe it, i had handed over my phone on the exact same day as you. These guys are such cheats ! Have you got your phone back ?

          I am very much disappointed after visiting blackberry service centre located in Novelty Plaza, First Floor, Opp.Park Plaza Hotel, Ferozepur Road, Ludhiana - 141001 Punjab, India

          When i approached there i waited for almost 30 minutes before i could meet a representative who was least bothered.

          After i told my problem they took about 20 minutes to analyze the problem.

          Instead of repairing my phone right away they asked me to wait for 12-15 days as they have to send my phone to another place in order to get it repaired.

          Now what does this means I have to be without my phone just because of such a minor problem.

          PROBLEM IS - No Sound in Head Phones

          They should have atleast a single engineer who can fix the problem right away.

          This is Ajoy kumar barman from kolkata.i bought a blackberry 8520 curve(IMEI NUM-[protected]) handset on feb 2010 from mobile store.i found on 31st december that display was not coming i my hand set.As you know there is no repearing centre in kolkata.i submitted my handset to Redington Service Telecom garia kolkata.now they are saying that there are liquid damage in my handset.but when i had submitted the handset to them, there was no liquid damage.can u please justify me that how it got damaged.it may be damaged by courier person also or the delivary person also.

          Now Redington guys are asking me to take a new handset instead of that.Actually its really impossible to take a new hand set again because my handset is in the warrenty period.i am not going to pay anything as the handset is in the warrenty period.otherwise i will just submit the handset to you and you refund me the moneyback.
          Redington Service for Blackberry here in Kolkata sucks...They are big time cheats...They usually don't accept phones...And if even they accept it, they take out good things and give u faulty set...!
          Everybody should report this to police!

            I have submitted my laptop adapter which is under warranty at Redington India Limited, Somajiguda, Hyderabad on 14th August 2010. I was told that it takes one month to get the new charger. When i tried calling after one month phone is always busy for a week. Then i made time to visit Redington office. To my surprise, the receiver of the phone is kept aside. When i questioned engineer on this, i got a reckless answer that - "You want me to talk to you or keep answering phones?". After lot of discussion on this, phone was made available at the office.

            From then onwards, phone was made available and to my surpise i came to know after 30 days that my request is not yet sent to Toshiba. Till today(8 Nov 2010) when ever I call Redington I get an answer that it is going to take 5 days more. After 5 days again i get the same answer. It is very very frustating with the time and energy i have wasted i would have bought new adapter.

            Can somebody help me with the escalation point of Toshiba as this is total damage to reputation of Toshiba.

            Redington India Limited — Service not efficient!

            I am an IBM employee, I have given huwai Data Card for repairs to redington on 26-12-08
            i was commited a max time of 15 days, It's now one and half month passed i still have not received my data card
            i am being told by representatives that it is stuck with customs and due to some documentation it is being delayed.

            i am facing too much problems due to such hopeless service.


            Hope at least wil get good outcome of this mail.
            we are also facing same problem
            we are given intel 945 gcpe motherboard
            after some days they replaced other board with no disply
            when we contact them they told, they cant do anything,
            "contact customer care and place another service claim request"
            when we placed new service request and gone to reddington service center
            they hold our service executive for more than one and half hour
            they told "we cant do anything because of some system updation"
            and they behave as very badly
            now
            what we lost, we provided new motherboard to our customer
            and lost 3000/-
            and lost both our & customer's time

            Redington India Limited — Phone always busy

            Redington India Limited, is unfortunatly the service provider for all all Blackberry Phone in India.

            Whenever you call their service center number[protected] either it will be busy or no one will answer. I guess it will be busy only when they use the phone for their personal work.

            Just to see how long it will take for me to get through their line, I tried continouly for 3 hours. Either no response or busy.

            I am calling them to find out the stauts of my phone which was given for servicing 8 days back - needless to say - they behave and take all the time in their world ....do they care about custormers?

            They should shut shop if they cant even answer a customer's phone. I am pretty much sure, that once I drive all the way to their service center, they will say the phone is not yet come from XYZ location

            Redington India ( Hyderabad) — Poor Service

            I have ordered HP print heads of Officejet printer by giving the old print heads and had to pay the amount in advance. Its been more than 10 days and yet the new print heads are not available, the response to the customers at Redington Hyderabad is very very poor.

              Ripped off Rs.730 and finally spoiled my brand new 1 month old Blackberry

              I had purchased my Blackberry Gemini 8520 from a mobile store in Chennai and only after purchase I knew it was a officially unlocked device and not a usual Airtel Blackberry, I was upset at first as I have nearly 3 years of experience with Blackberry service at Airtel and its just awesome they do it so professionally. I used a Rs.999 (approx. USD $20) worth cover for the phone from case mate, after a month and few days the display brightness...

              I was following up from my gurgaon office for the PF but no result found as I am now shifted to Bangalore.

              I submitted all my documents to my employer for the PF on December 2009.

              They said that my documents has been send to your office, but when I am checking the status online for my PF, it is showing documents not received by this office.

                Hello i am T.Muthukumar from Chennai, i purchased Blackberry 8520 on 21.11.2009.In the mid of June my Blackberry suddenly experienced with Heating problem (even within warranty period ie. the 7 months of purchase)and the battery drains quickly after every charge even without a call made or received.I submitted my smart phone to redington service center @ Chennai on 29.06.2010,they told that they there is no service facility in Chennai and need to sent to Bangalore for inspection and service.On 9th July a person from redington Chennai called and told my phone has water log and doesn't serviceable.I told them it was not true since there is no chance of water getting into my phone.

                This type of answer clearly show their excuse for their inability to service the product,it was also confirmed when i saw the similar heating problem has been raised by a friend from jalander,but his phone has been service thrice with no solution provided.

                I would like to say to the consumer forum and concerned department to take strict action and regulate the service provided by this kind of in able service providers "Redington India".

                Friends beware of Brands that may ruin your money.

                I am Anirban from delhi and have a very bad experience with blackberry devices. My phone got a trackpad problem within 15days of purchase. They have not replaced the handset and neither did they solve my problem.They have untrained service professionals and are not able to service the handsets. Worthless company
                The rubber Pad for the side keys had to be replaced on my own in a local shop for Rs 1500, as they wanted to send their phones to Bangalore and wait for 10 days.
                They need to have service centers in Chennai and all smaller places as well.
                To use this as a strategy to reduce complaints and repairs free of charge, will only effect them in the long run by way of sales. I am switching to another phone now. Me and my wife have had enough. The battery does not last as well. Its 1.5 years since I bought mine from Dubai. Cant be spending money every 1.5 years to replace the Rubbber.

                  THIS IS TO INFORM YOU THAT I HAD A PROBLEM IN BATTERY OF BLACKBERRY AND I HAVE GIVEN THE BATTERY FOR REPLACEMENT ON 29OF APRIAL,ITS IN GUARANTY.I HAVE GIVEN THE BETTERY FOR REPLACEMENT TO REDINGTON INDIA LIMITED SERVICE STATION OF BLACK BERRY.AND I HAVE RECIVED THE WORK ORDER NO.LUK/BB/10/00045 FROM THE SERVICE CENTER.BUT TODAY ITS 4TH OF JUNE AND STILL I HAVE NOT RECIVED AND COMMUNATION FROM THEM,AND GUARANTY IS GETING OVER AND THEY HAVE NO VALUE TO GIVE ANY RESPONCE.

                  Similar problem. They keep the old battery and at the same time keep on delaying the delivery of the replacement. The worst part is there is no sense of accountability or responsibility for consumer's concern. Pathetic service.

                    I have given my Moto Q mobile at Redington Motorola Service center, Andheri for repair and it Work order No. is AE/MO/09/03021 NO dated 25/02/2010. but till today i have not received any information regarding it, i am continuously calling on the landlines No. 30893703/ 04 / 05 but bell rings on take the phone.Please provide me the other contact No on which i can inquire about my Mobile.

                    Please look in to this matter personally.

                    I had given my motorola Rockr e6 to be repaired, initially they told me they will take a week to repair the phone, but they took it more than a month to do so and they broked the lock of my phone, they didinot give me my memory card .

                    The service is ridiculous.
                    Nobody stand there to take the ownership.

                      i am mohd atif ...my friend send me courier 29/01/2010.but till now 04/02/2010 i have not recived my important courier...it is very important couries...related to my company...my courier docket no is-(B[protected]......my suggestion is plz open vegatable shop it is benifit to ur company...closed the courier company because o[censored] r not under stand ,,,,customar and customar fellinges...

                        Dear Sir,
                        I am shocked with the insensitivity shown by Redingnton staff who have refused to even register my complaint regarding sub-standard blackberry bold handset purchased only 5 months ago for Rs. 33,000/-. The handset is giving a worn out look and the entire metallic panel is off the metal colour. The battery gets completely discharged in half a day. The Redington staff have only registered a complaint with regard to battery. I want a complete replacement of the handset and/or body of the mobile and the battery. Also, the cheap endorsement hand written on the job sheet in the remarks column, which is not even readable, shows that they somehow want to extort money from bonafide unsuspecting consumers even for handsets under warranty on some false pretext. I am an Advocate-on-Record in the Supreme Court and am suffering immensely on account of not having a blackberry hand-set. The same has resulted in pecuniary losses apart from causing inconvenience. I also have clientèle abroad and need to be constantly in touch with them through blackberry mail/e-mail. . I am going to personally take up the matter to Court and would ensure that bonafide consumers are not cheated by either Redington or Blackberry. I have given my blackberry mobile at E-48/4 (1st Floor), Okhla Industrial Area, Phase II, New Delhi-110020 vide work Order No. K-94.                           I have a problem with my HP Photosmart c6188 All in one printer with Serial No: MY68QD40ZC. I have contacted HP online support and as suggested by HP I have taken printer to the authorized service provider here in Hyderabad. The service provider is
                          Redington India Ltd.
                          F2 1st Floor GS Mall Rajbhavan Road
                          Somajiguda Hyderabad.

                          On 15th of June I have given printer for repair, the work order number given by Reddington is HY/09/01475. Also I hold a online complaint with HP, the complaint No: [protected]. The engineer there assured that they will call me with the status of repair within 48 hours, but even after more than 1 week I didn't receive d any call from them. I have contacted Reddington daily for the repair status, but no response from them. When ever i called them, they used to take my work order number, my contact number and tell that they are going to call me within 30 mins, but their 30 mins didn't over till now it seems. Today on 23rd June 2009, I personally went to Reddington, they have replied me that the concerned engineer is on leave so they cannot process my request. This has created problems to me as I may be needed to print important documents.

                          Over all I am very upset with the service provided by HP and the HP's authorised service providers. Now I want HP either to refund back the cost of printer or give me a new printer for the trouble caused by the provider and the negligence.

                          Worst service support by redington india, infanty, bangalore service center people. They don't know even basic trouble shooting skills also. if mobile is not under warranty better to give outside, instead of autorized service center.
                          I am shankar working in a NGo based at Dharmapuri District last month i have given my hp printer 3500 series for repair at Salem Redington centre, they have done it and charged for more than Rs.700/- just after 20 pages print out again get struck then went and given to the same place they were told that the clynder got damaged and will be cost for Rs.800/- I asked them if you replace the material the damaged one should be handed over to me, then they were saying cylnder is not the problem board is the problem and we can not assure you any gurantee. The new machine itself Rs.2400/= only, i am in doubt on the ethics of the prpersonnel.

                          Kindly respond and should not try to cheat the customer who may not aware of the technicalities.

                            Dear sir.,

                            I have been lodged a complaint in mobile service centre named Redingtion I PVT LTD., 603, 604 Acme Plaza, 6th floor, Andheri Kurla Road, Andheri(E), Opposite Sangam Theatre.Contact no.28395830 Inspite of being under warranty they refuse to repair the same under warranty & replied as it will get repaired within 10 days but u have to pay the charges for the same & the fault was blast in battery at the time of charging the mobile. My bill no. is 9591 dated 25/05/08 the name of the store is Gunjan Time Sales and service & it is of MOTOROLA MOBILE HANDSET.

                            Kindly look into matter and pls take a necessary action.

                            I have given my 8 months old L9 Motorola mobile for service in redington india pvt ltd, egmore opposite to Ethiraj college .
                            They gave me a token and made me wait more than an hour & I am very much surprised to see that Motorola has sold more defective mobile.

                            I have given the following complaints,
                            #1 while talking my phone is getting restarted automatically
                            #2 data cable is not connecting
                            #3 mobile is getting overheated .
                            Then i asked authorised Motorola service person when can I get my mobile back, they told me that pls call us tomorrow we will update you on that .
                            Then I call them & they told me that I will be getting my mobile after a week. After a week I called them once again and confirmed about phone delivery, they told” its ready you can come and pick it any time” then I went there and waited for 2 hrs to get my mobile.

                            Motorola is doing Very poor in service even the road side mechanic is better than the Motorola authorised service centre.
                            The Motorola authorised service people does not care about the customer time. They gave me two contact numbers[protected] &[protected] and only one is not in working condition and another one is always busy. To get a line we need to spend more time and Motorola authorised service never cares about it.
                            Dear sir.,

                            I have been given my mobile for service centre named Redingtion I PVT LTD., No. 94 A & 95, PRASAD CHAMBERS, EAST AROKIASWAMY ROAD, R.S . PURAM, COIMBATORE - 641002. Inspite of being under warranty they refuse to repair the same under warranty & replied as it will get repaired within 10 days but they have not change the parts. I have to attach the Delivery challan please send me the email address.Please gothrough it.My DC No. CBD/MO/08/08923 dated 12/03/09. it is of MOTOROLA MOBILE HANDSET.

                            Kindly look into matter and pls take a necessary action.

                            I'D BOUGHT A MOTORAZR N IT WAS FOUND DEFECTIVE ON THE VERY FIRST DAY. WEN I WENT TO REPLACE IT I WAS SAID IT COULD ONLY BE SERVICED. WEN I TOOK IT TO SERVICE CENTRE THEY LODGED MY COMPLAINT THEY NEVER FIXED IT EVEN AFTER MY SEVERAL CALLS TO THE SERVICE CENTRE 'REDDINGTON INDIA LTD OPPOSITE ETHIRAJ COLGE, EGMORE CHENNAI. I GAVE TWO VISITS TO THE SERVICE CENTRE TO LITERALLY BANG THEM OUT FOR NOT FIXING THE PHONE OR REPLACING IT. NOTHING ACTUALLY WORKED AFTER 3 MONTHS OF PURCHASE MY PHONE STILL RESTS AT THE CENTRE I HAVNT USED IT FOR 1 WHOLE WEEK.
                            THEY HAVE TWO CONTACT NUMBERS NEITHER OF WHICH WORKS, OR THEY ARE 24X7 BUSY.
                            this is the worst service centretat i've ever seen. for the persons working in so calledf service centre: y did u get in to tis type of job better jion other jobs were there is no customer intracion.there r pleanty of jobs, pls quit from this.i'm sorry.who gave authorization, moto has done a big mistake . because of its poor services it sucks
                            i gave my 6 month old mobile moto zn 200. i agve it for soft ware prblm but they couldn't spot it right so they booked it as board prblm.already 2 months went, i visited 4, 5 times . but no there is no change, i thing they would've sold my mobiles, my suggestion, don't buy moto mobiles, oly prblm, is it has the best worst service centres like reddington in chennai egmore, my 1 yr waranty will be over with them itself i think, if it took even more days, i'll register a case in consumer court and surely many victims will support me. i don't care of getting back my mobile, my intention is tat, no more victim should suffer, so pls close the service centre r u'll be pushed to do;;;;;;;
                            Dear Sir/Mam,

                            I had given a HUAWEI mobile phone for repairing in HAUZ KHAS NEW DELHI, branch, Regarding this they told me that it will take arround 10 days time.So i asked for the back up.One of the EMP. answer me to buy a new handset for backup.
                            So i don't think that it is a good answer to the customer.I think tou that you will take a good step against this bad behavior.Kindly do the needful and get the case resolved ASAP.i think that 10 days time is very big time.This is not only my problem i think many customers are suffring from this this bad behavior.

                            We get the excellent service support from Redington coimbatore, I have a problem with my mobile model V8, Immed contact to redington service center at coimbatore, They taken mt quires very softly and sovle my issues immed, realy very thank to Reding service at coimbatore,

                            at gorakhpur redington service center they are selling duplicate chargers of motorola, etouch and huawei which is sold on shops for rs. 125 but they sell for rs. 325. no reciept is given for purchases. at there hp service center adoptors and cartridges and other accessories not given to customers.
                            Dear Team,

                            I had given my motorola V3i handset with a complaint of set getting heated up, to rington india ltd at trivandrum. After the servicing i recieved my handset back and paid an amount of 2250. But the very next day i had identified series of problem in the handset. The handset was not charging, it was not getting connected to the computer, it was not accepting the headset. I went back to the service, but they refused to give any permanent solution to these problem. I visited them atleast 4 times, but they however managed to show me that the set was charging and returned me back. But the problem still continued. I am working with the defence force, so i had to come back to my base at jamnagar. Kindly advice and do justice to the amount i have paid for the service. My work order number was TV/MO/09/00429
