[Resolved] Whirlpool / Fridge / Ff400 — Complaint against Whirlpool's refusal to honour warranty (SR number: HR[protected]) | |||
I had purchased a whirlpool refrigerator (model FF400) on[protected] via invoice number 6588 . During the purchase, I was told that the refrigerator would be covered in a 1+6 year, i.e. a total of 7 years of warranty. I am also in possession of the invoice and the warranty card. Recently the refrigerator developed a fault and I logged a ticket with whirlpool (SR number: HR[protected]). Upon visit, the technician told me that the compressor needs to be replaced. I showed him a copy of the invoice and the warranty card, however he refused to cover the compressor under warranty – this despite the warranty card clearly showing a 1+6 years coverage under warranty and the purchase being done about 5 years, 4 months back. Out of no choice, I had to pay him case (Rs. 8000/-) towards compressor replacement. I told the technician to give me the email ID of his senior however he did not. This is clearly a case of fraudulent practices, mis-selling, false commitments as well as poor Customer service by Whirlpool. How can such a reputed company like Whirlpool refuse to honour their commitments? You are requested to look into the matter urgently and arrange for refund of my money (Rs. 8,000/-) at the earliest. I have already written to Whirlpool multiple times, however, they have refused to help in this matter.
