Reliance Energy — neglectance of concern departments/unreasonable charges lived by vigilance department

Sub:-Negligence of concern departments/un reasonable charges levied by vigilance department

Dear, Sir/Madam

We are a resident at Jija Mata Marg Pump House Andheri East from last 45 years During the BMC road widening process at the above given address on 17/12/2017 our meter box (situated in BMC demarcation area) was Demolished/dislocated.

Ever since we are running around your concern departments for meter box shifting we met Mr.Sanjay Parab (DGM) least 12 to 15 times, (which you can check in your visitor entry register at ground floor) between December to march who handed this matter to Mr.Nitin Jadhav. it took around 4 months to received an estimate Dated[protected] in the name of geesaram dularam choudry Ser order no:-[protected], which we paid on 26/04/2018 it took more than three months after paying estimate

Between this 7 months of mental torture we met MR.Sanjay Parab (DGM), MR.Keward,
MR.Sushant Singha(ADDL VP) many times for the help and explained the situation that we are borrowing electric supply for a living from our Neighbors from last 4 months and requested them to start our service or provide us with a temporary meter or a connection until our service is started which they completely denied by saying they do not have the stock of cable/joints/other meterials.then we asked all three officers to give us in writing why they cannot arrange temporary connection, which also they denied and said it’s illegal to borrow supply from any other source and said action will be taken.

Since last 6 months we are borrowing electric supply for a living from our Neighbors, after the concern officers update on (borrowing supply is illegal) we removed the supply from our neighbors and lived in a dark without electricity for 7days later we contacted one of your licensed contractor Mr.Santosh Borker (agent)he assured us that he will arrange a temporary connection from the authority’s and on 27/05/2018 he provided us electric supply from 6way red box situated on the road next to our house.

On 01/06/2018 vigilance department came and removed the connection we explained our complete matter of last 6 months harassment of concern authorities to Mr.V.S.Kunte/ Mr.Koluskar they said ok and asked to sign a document by assuring that we will only be charged with minimum penalty for last four days usage and handed over an notice, during this process the said license contractor was present at the time of inspection and under his guidance we signed the notice.

On 23/06/2018 we received a penalty notice of Rs 26951/- addressed to consumer K. Bhagwan das account no[protected] and to consumer Geesaram Daularam Choudry of Rs 9108/-account no[protected], for 6 months unauthorized supply usage. which we never used.

Next day we we met the under signed officer on the penalty notice, and explained the whole situation instead of giving us proper word he only said either we have to pay the penalty amount or face legal action.

Please provide an information on: -
Is it consumers mistake if the reliance authority’s does not have available stock of cables/joints/materials etc. to fix our issue and leaving existing consumer to suffer for than 7 months, who’s responsible ?

Are there any regulations/time limit/deadline towards reliance authorities to get the job done if yes is it 7 months.

Since electricity is an main source of living and can be available only through government body (MSEB) and no third party can provide it, a customer has to live without electricity until the authority provides it ? If not what is the alternate?

If the designated officer or department replies with an answer by saying, we cannot help or nothing can be done where customer should go?

Requesting you to please look into this matter with an enquiry/action in a positive manner, since the unauthorized connection was just for a living, not intended to steal electricity or any other purpose,
As per regulations we are ready to pay for the actual usage for 4 days
