Reliance Fresh — malpractice in pricing display and bill | |||
During my visit to reliance fresh store at doak nagar, madurai, tamil nadu on the 27th of sept'19 i purchased 2 packets of bru instant coffee. The display said "mrp 320 our price 245" for 200gms pack. (Picture attached) After billing i happen to check the price and found that the bill amount for this item was 285 rs. (Picture attached) Upon checking the manager said that we don't have stock for 320 rs / 200 gms so we have stocked 360 rs/ 200 gms stock and we are extending same 75 rs discount. From a customer's perspective, reliance showed 245 rs for a product and then charged 285 rs. Ironically the offer for 320 rs pack was supposed to start on the 28th of sept'19 but the store displayed the offer in advance without even having the stock for the offer. Upon complain the manager was not apologetic of the mistake and asked the staff to take back stock and refund. The store has a display "we pride ourselves on accurate billing" (Picture attached). This states that they will refund the difference of the error amount and compensate 100 rs per error. The manager denied to honor this. This is not the first time we have noted such malpractices at the store. Considering that it is a nearby store and we visit regularly we have shown the mistakes to the staff and got them rectified in the past. But unfortunately this is increasing and they do not want to correct themselves nor accept their mistakes. I expect sincere apology from the store manager in writing.
