[Resolved] Reliance Retail — delayed delivery and poor service | |
I purchased a LG washine machine from reliance retail ltd at Sardar Patel Marg, Civil Lines Allahabad on 15 Aug 14 vide CIN No U01100MH1999RLC120563. The item was to be delivered the next day ie. on 16 Aug 14. However there was very poor response from the retail shop despite repeated calls and only promises of delivery were made. On being threatened with consumer court finally the item was delivered to me at an unearthly hour of 2310. However on receipt of the item I was shocked to discover that the item was packed in polythene/bubble wrap without its original packing. Further the company rep was supposed to visit me on 17 Aug 14 for installation of the same, however this time again there was no response from the retail shop. On being reminded finally instead of the company rep/fitters two of the salesmen from reliance retail Ltd visited me and then further tell me after their visit that I need to first do the plumbing work and then only call them. This was despite the fact that I was promised by the salesmen at the retail shop that the machine would be installed free of cost by them. I then asked the salesmen to take back the washing machine and refund my money at the earliest. The washine machine was returned back to the two reps from reliance retail ltd.
