[Resolved]  Royal Enfield — Chain sprocket damage - New classic 350

me too i had taken this bike in feb 2016 upto now i changed the chain spocket two times .Its waste of money to buy bullet classic 350 .I had first problem for 13000kms and again for 24000 kms .They were designing spare parts so delicate that they are earning more money on spare parts then by sale of the vechicle.Its trurly bussiness logic government should check quality of the spare parts and give permission for it.

My 350 classic runs 10, 000 km, today given for servicing, its 6th service and today service engineer told me to lube chain weekly basis, almost after one year i know this nobody guide us initially, why? Now they r asking to replace chain socket which is costing almost 2500, really frustrated with this type of service from royal Enfield brand. Pls educate customers

My Royal Enfield classic just completed 1 year. Problem is that during this period of 1 year I did changes chain sprocket two time which was full damage/ all the teeth was broken and riding km is only 10k. Is this the quality given by royal Enfield brand? Totally unsatisfied and don't believe anymore this brand as ROYAL.

Same issue in just 15000km chain spocket is gone.. Need to sound 3k to get it replaced.

Damn poor quality and I don't expect this to improve. As of today Enfield is quite famous and good brand name. They will not even bother with such complaint or feedback.

I am facing the same issue. Chain set quality is too poor. My chain set damaged in just 15000 kms. I have change my breaks 3 times in just 1 year. Every month i have to spend my money in my classic 350.

Myself had the same problem with Classic -350, sprocket teethes broke with usage of 8000KM and upon checking with RE dealer according to them it depends purely with individual riding style and chain sprocket kit does not cover any warranty since it is under regular wear & tier, i was not convinced & did my own research, i bought sprocket kit from RE dealer & chain separately without o-ring which use to be supplied with old Bullets, but with old type non o-ring chain one has to buy two sets of chain & joint four links since Classic 350 new version chain length is four links big compared with old Bullet & by doing this trust me by now i have done 20000KM plus without any problems of sprocket teeth breaking & bike performance also will increase one can feel the difference after changing, chain with o-ring type is completely failure because of the o-ring load on the rear sprocket will be high due this reason teethes breaks very soon but RE mechanics will not accept this fact and will always recommend with o-ring type chain informing dust will spoil the chain since RE has open type chain sprocket, but the fact is o-ring protects from dust & at the same time the real life of the kit is very less rather then why should we not go without non o-ring type chain which gives more life best performance.

Hi this is Guna from Chennai (villivakkam)..See same problem for me also chain sprocket is broken in 16000 Kms only drove the bike. This is very bad, due to this problem now VA days I stopped using the RE classic bike.

I brought re 350 2014 My bike running total 30000 thousand i change 3 times chen spoket company make this product for very bad meterial very bad quality and sitting posture is very bad . After long drive pain on my back side and my bump sitting quality is also very bad i sujjjest you plz do not sujjest any body to buy this bike total waste of money

What is the cost of chain sprocket?

I have purchased my classic 350 cc RE in 9/2013. The running KM at present is only 18000. But the chain & sprocket makes continuous sound while driving. Is it the life of this spare is only 18000 km. This affects the goodwill and sales of RE products.

I bought my classic 350 bs4 5 mnths before .i travelled 12, 000 km.now most of the teeths are broken!!!

I also have same problem... Spocket teeth starts breaking with in 10000 km. They really selling cheap quality spares and we need to log complaints at consumer court for this type of cheating and I really looking forward to that.

I brought bull due to the love of my dad's. I take care of my RE like a king. But the company let down all the expectation. Completed less than 20k and literally changed every part including CD unit which is not even available in RE service centers in TVM. Even with all the proper maintanance and care the sprocket dosnt even have teeth.
The parts of RE are non reliable and low quality. Very bad for an international company. I regreat ever buying RE.
If you guys showed any dedication and honesty the company would have become the top of all the bikes in the market on cruisers.
You guys treat Indian customers like ### with the pride that there is high number of customers. Thus I never take my bull to crap service centers instead I work on it myself.
Words RE lacks: Reliability, Quality, Customer Treatment, Dedication, Engineering.
If this is the status that is kept up the company will be soon dying.
At least look at the rate of complains.
Feels pitty for a company with long history of satisfaction rides.

Got This Problem after riding 15000KM

I was shocked at service centre @6 the paid service that at 14000 KM's approx there is need for sprocket kit change. Teeths were damaged. Yeah I ride it rough, but this machine is made for rough and tough. Why it is called bull!! Just for kidding ourselves?? Totally disappointed. I had passion plus for 10 years and not even once there was need for changing the sprocket kit. Why can't RE design these things with modern technology. Why can't they change wheels to alloy saving users from puncture. Because we ourselves are blindly buying RE bikes overlooking all its cons. And they don't care till there sales are high...

I bought my classic 350 August 2017 6
Months before some noise started from chain I went to Royal Enfield authorized service centre which is situated in TRANSPORT NAGAR NEAR ZERO MILES PATNA 800026 BIHAR.
They told me that company is not supplying
Chain spoke set from last 6 months and I am unable to ride my bike form last 4 months .
Now tell me which kind of after sell service provide by a so called best selling bike company .
If you are unable to provide Spair parts of your bike than you should closed you service center.

I had similar broken teeth in sprocket within 17000 kms. After I changed to new one, I started tightening the chain regularly (after every 3000 kms) - mechanics do this for as low as Rs 30 per tightening. After every long ride, when the chain is sufficiently warm and expanded, I lubricate the entire chain. The second chain has remained intact for over 20000 kms. I intend to change it, as somewhere I have read that its good to change chain sprocket after every 20000 kms. I do around 180kms of ride every day. And I still can't think of having any other bike than Classic 350 for this. My mileage hovers around 43-46 kmpl where half the distance is on highway and other half on rural roads. My engine oil is fully synthetic Motul which keeps my engine is good condition. I change the oil after 8000kms.
