Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd — Galaxy Note 2 Battery issue

Hi Team, I bought a new Galaxy Note 2 on October 2013 and I have updated my phone to latest software 4.3 which is released by Samsung on March 2014.After the Upgrade my Battery backup is not lasting for more than 2 hours.Even I put in charge for 7 to 8 hours continuously charge will not go beyond 30%.So I came to situation where I need to carry my charger all the places where I am going to keep my mobile alive. Today I went to my nearby Samsung Service Center ( West Tambaram Chennai ) where I got shocking response that this software upgrade will use most of the battery and nothing can be done.is this is the good response and also do I need to continue with the drastic situation of carrying mobile with less than 20% always?
