[Resolved]  Samsung Home Appliances — Stupidity

Purchased a refrigerator, model #RSG257AARS, which came with a water/ice filter. After six months, it was time to replace. Went back to Best Buy where I bought the refrigerator and they provided me with the 'correct' replacement. It did not work. Went back to the store and was assured this was the only replacement for this refrigerator. Didn't work, and complained to the 1-800-SAMSUNG vicious cycle. Told the story three times and finally convinced a manager to send a repairman (contrator Service Quick). The came with a new 'housing' unit to replace, and the repairman determined that the filter would not even fit in the new housing replacement he brought, so nothing was done. Many more phone calls, and escalated to Executive Customer Relations. One very nice person understood what I was saying and assured me she would check iwth the parts deparmtent and call me back within 24 hours (of course, no call back and it's been 5 days). Called again to the Executive Customer Relations Dept on 3/26/2014 and spoke with PORTIA. Rudest person I have ever encountered in a customer service role. She talked over me, kept putting me on hold for 2-3 minutes and I DEMANDED to speak with a manager, she kept playing games saying she was trying to locate one, or the manager was helping another customer. I waited over 30 minutes to speak with a manager and never got anyone to talk with me other than this rude PORTIA. I finally emailed the Office of the CEO and expressed my anger/frustration/lack of support, and nothing from them either. NEVER AGAIN WILL I PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM SAMSUNG. You can't get to anyone who can do anything!!!
