Dear Sir, we bought a 1.5 Ton Samsung AC in March 2019. Recently we relocated to a new place and installed the AC here. within 1 month the AC stopped working. when we complained, they set a technician to resolve the issue. that person came and saw that rats bit the control wires. he told us that the wires need to be replaced and the hole in the wall needs to be closed, none of which are covered under warranty. He charged us Rs. 1000 for the new wires, replaced them and closed the hole. he left without giving any bill for the amount we paid. After 1 hour we started hearing screeching noises from the AC unit, and the unit started leaking water and then stopped completely. we complained again and they sent another technician. when that person opened the unit, we saw that there was a rat's nest inside with 8 - 9 little rats along with a big rat. they have bitten off lots of parts inside and the new technician said that we have to pay Rs. 1500 for the new parts. we complained to the customer service of Samsung regarding this matter of how the technician left rats inside the unit damaging it. but Samsung customer care supervisor refused saying rat damage has to be paid by the customer alone. After our complaint, they raised the amount to be paid to Rs. 2500. In addition, they are closing my complaint without resolving it. I have put up repair request to them 4 times till now. They agree that it was their negligence as to leaving rats inside the AC, but they have the policy that rat damage must be paid by the customer. We compromised and asked them to at least replace the wires for which we paid on the first day, and we will bear the cost of other parts. Even this request was refused.
