Updated by sheetal today they have agreed upon replacing the fridge but are asking Rs 4000 more as according to them the prices of the fridge have gone up. I am not able to digest this. they mean either i keep the faulty fridge or i cough up more money, if i want a new fridge.

Updated by sheetal I thought that I was a proud owner of
Samsung RS 72 R 5011SL side by side fridge, when i bought it on 10/08/17 from swastik enetrprises at sonipat. I bargained it for Rs 67500 with Rs 6000 cashback if I pay through credit card of HDFC.. Unfortunately the invoice couldnot be generated on that day because the fridge was apparently not yet registered in the system. He promised to generate the invoice next day and got the payment from me in cash and that he will return my payment after I pay through credit card. I was delivered the fridge by the salesman only at my home at about 4:00 pm. I noticed a dent on side wall of the fridge at about 6:00 pm which was beautifully concealed under the sticker of barcode of smsung. It is noteworthy to mention that I received the fridge in open seal position, which I brought in the notice of salesman and h assured m not to worry as he was responsible for any problem in the fridge and after delivery they took all the packing including its box with them which is again a surprise to me. anyways, i called the salesman and toldhim about the dent, he came, inspected the dent and told me that he will revert back after talking in the company. After 2-3 days he called and informed that if I want the fridge to be replaced, I will have to pay Rs 4000 more as the prices have increased. It was again a shock to me as I trusted the brand and i was being cheated. I called customer care and they informed that without invoice, they will not be able to help. I was trapped and then I bargained again and he agreed to replace my fridge with Rs 1000 more, i.e. for Rs 68500 rather than Rs 67500 agreed upon earlier. I recd the fridge and got the invoice done on 18/08/2019. I offered to pay Rs 60000 from credit card of HDFC for availing 10 percent cashback nd rest of the payment to be adjusted as cash paid by me already. Now he deducted Rs 61200 from my card and told that he will give me vouchers worth Rs 1200 in lieu of extra Rs 1200 deducted from my account . It was again a breach of trust on part of
samsung . How can he force me to buy vouchers ? I prorested but he said that this is company policy only. I did not have choice but to agree with him. Today he returned me Rs 60000 cash without any voucher. When I asked him, he said that you are the member of
samsung smart club now and you have some points there and those points can be redeemed . It is laughable because I earned those points ( 800 something) by buying a product worth more than Rs 15000, and not in lieu of Rs 1200 due to me for erroneous transaction on part of the dealer. This all episode has made me bitter towards
samsung, which I trusted so far. Through this mail I just want to draw your attention towards malpractices of your stockists and dealers. I never expected that kind of cheating attitude from
Samsung Hope you will look into the matter and help me in at least getting the refund of my hard earned money.
