[Resolved]  Samsung India — Pathetic customer service

The screen of my phone broke on 15.12.2016. I had an insurance for the same with Unicom Insurance which was having a tie up with the Samsung Service Center in Mandi Gobindgarh, Punjab. I immediately contacted the service center and filed the insurance claim with the insurance company. My phone was taken by the the service center and no other complimentary phone was provided to me by them. The insurance company called for the phone to examine it, which was provided by the service center after a delay of almost 10 days even after my daily reminders. The insurance claim got sanctioned on 14th January 2017. I contacted the service center people to repair my phone and intimated them that the insurance claim has been sanctioned, but I was informed that the screen of the phone was not available with them and that it would take 2-3 days to arrange the same. However, the screen could not be arranged by the service center at Mandi Gobindgarh. On contacting them again, it was informed that my phone has been handed over to the Rajpura Service Center, Punjab. I was forwarded the contact no of Sh Mandeep, who is managing service center at Rajpura. When I contacted the concerned person he admitted to having received the phone but said that it would take another 2 days to repair the mobile. On again contacting I was told that the motherboard of the phone was not working and since the phone was under warranty, they would change the motherboard of my phone and that they would need another 2 days to repair and fix the phone. I was told to collect my phone from service center in Rajpura on 9th Feb 2017 as they had fixed the phone. Since, I m staying in Chandigarh, I started my journey towards rajpura to collect the phone. While I was 10 km away from reaching the center, I was told that while packing the phone the screen of the phone broke by the engineer and that I may collect the phone by 13th Feb. I intimated that I wont be able to collect the phone on 13th Feb and that my phone may be handed over to me on 20th Feb Positively. I again called them yesterday so as to retrieve my phone which they had promised to get delivered at Chandigarh, but to further harass me they told that the phone has been sent to Mandi Gobindgarh Service Centre and I may ask them to deliver the same. On being contacted, the manager, Sh Aman in Mandi Gobindgarh has asked me to collect the phone from their service center as he cannot send a person to deliver the same to me.
Im a lover of samsung high end phones and is a regular customer of samsung. I have used Samsung Note series since it was first launched. I persuaded my husband to buy samsung S7 edge even though he was a regular user of iphones. However, such incidents are set back for customers like me to even think o[censored]sing samsung phones from now onwards. I have already my precious data on the phone due to change of motherboard. Further, I have been without my phone for the last two months causing me much inconvenience. I m already thinking of going through legal channels for compensation of harassment caused due to such consumer attitude of your service centers. However, I was inclined to write this mail by my husband so that samsung managers know that the consumers are being harassed in this manner. i hope I could get some resolution here.

Inspite of Samsung Executive promising to get the handset delivered by 22.02.2017 by 5 pm, I haven't received my handset till now. The Samsung service center is not even bothered to receive the call. Neither do have received any call from them regarding delivery scheduled by them.

I do not have any other option but to go for the legal channels to get the claim for the unnecessary harassment caused by the samsung people and for such inconvenience faced by me.

I DO NOT WANT MY PHONE NOW. KEEP IT WITH YOU.

Received the handset today after Samsung's executive Ms Neha helped with the same. However, there is a issue with the handset. Firstly all my data has gone. The service center detected the problem with the motherboard as already reported in my complaint and said to have replaced it. However, my previous apps are still shown to be installed with all my accounts logged in. I have no idea, how could that happen when the motherboard has been apparantly replaced by the service center people. I can only come to the conclusion that my data was lost due to mishandling of phone by the engineer coz if new ROM had been flashed on my phone the old data would not have appeared. Secondly, the phone is showing error of closing app due to sone fault instantly. None of the apps is working properly and shows error and close down within a minute. Thirdly, found my S pen missing from the phone which I already have informed about to Ms Neha and both the samsung care people.
Now comes the main part, even after all the above discrepancies, I thought of trying my sim card in the phone. However, to my luck, the sim tray is also missing from the phone. Since I found this after the call from samsung's executive I could not tell her as the call doesnt connect to them if called back. I however contacted the service center at Rajpura who assured me of meeting me at my place but didnt bother to call back again.
Ms Neha took my details of the phone i.e imei no, S/N and date of purchase to take up the matter with the higher authorities. Her call is awaited.
Its like a situation u get to know about a company when you have to deal with their service center staff when a problem like this occurs. How can anyone publicize a company like this after such an experience. The company boasts about competing with the likes of apple but treats their loyal customers in such a way, Im just out of words.
Is going to consumer forum the only cjoixe left with me. Please guide.

Im waiting for the response of samsung executive and tgen will decide my further actions. Any suggestions/advice on the issue may please be forwarded to my email id. I shall be very thankful.
