[Resolved] Samsung India — Pathetic customer service | |||||
The screen of my phone broke on 15.12.2016. I had an insurance for the same with Unicom Insurance which was having a tie up with the Samsung Service Center in Mandi Gobindgarh, Punjab. I immediately contacted the service center and filed the insurance claim with the insurance company. My phone was taken by the the service center and no other complimentary phone was provided to me by them. The insurance company called for the phone to examine it, which was provided by the service center after a delay of almost 10 days even after my daily reminders. The insurance claim got sanctioned on 14th January 2017. I contacted the service center people to repair my phone and intimated them that the insurance claim has been sanctioned, but I was informed that the screen of the phone was not available with them and that it would take 2-3 days to arrange the same. However, the screen could not be arranged by the service center at Mandi Gobindgarh. On contacting them again, it was informed that my phone has been handed over to the Rajpura Service Center, Punjab. I was forwarded the contact no of Sh Mandeep, who is managing service center at Rajpura. When I contacted the concerned person he admitted to having received the phone but said that it would take another 2 days to repair the mobile. On again contacting I was told that the motherboard of the phone was not working and since the phone was under warranty, they would change the motherboard of my phone and that they would need another 2 days to repair and fix the phone. I was told to collect my phone from service center in Rajpura on 9th Feb 2017 as they had fixed the phone. Since, I m staying in Chandigarh, I started my journey towards rajpura to collect the phone. While I was 10 km away from reaching the center, I was told that while packing the phone the screen of the phone broke by the engineer and that I may collect the phone by 13th Feb. I intimated that I wont be able to collect the phone on 13th Feb and that my phone may be handed over to me on 20th Feb Positively. I again called them yesterday so as to retrieve my phone which they had promised to get delivered at Chandigarh, but to further harass me they told that the phone has been sent to Mandi Gobindgarh Service Centre and I may ask them to deliver the same. On being contacted, the manager, Sh Aman in Mandi Gobindgarh has asked me to collect the phone from their service center as he cannot send a person to deliver the same to me. Im a lover of samsung high end phones and is a regular customer of samsung. I have used Samsung Note series since it was first launched. I persuaded my husband to buy samsung S7 edge even though he was a regular user of iphones. However, such incidents are set back for customers like me to even think o[censored]sing samsung phones from now onwards. I have already my precious data on the phone due to change of motherboard. Further, I have been without my phone for the last two months causing me much inconvenience. I m already thinking of going through legal channels for compensation of harassment caused due to such consumer attitude of your service centers. However, I was inclined to write this mail by my husband so that samsung managers know that the consumers are being harassed in this manner. i hope I could get some resolution here.
