[Resolved] Samsung India — promised to fix my broken display, rejected at the time of delivery | |||||
I have a samsung galaxy c9 pro (Sm-c900f) handset which is 1.5 years old and out of warranty. I rooted my phone and was using my own software (Rom). But unfortunately my display got braked last week and went to samsung authorized service center. * meanwhile - there is a new samsung policy which is, any rooted phone or a phone with unofficial software or the knox if tripped will not be repaired at any cost. If the customer still wants to repair it, then the person have to pay additional money for the working mother board to get it replaced with a new one at full cost to repair the device and close the call. * Now at the samsung service center, they checked/investigated my phone and said that okay, we can fix this device by manually submitting, that means, submitting to them to fix the phone without coming to samsung's notice. I again asked them, will it get fixed as its rooted a knox is void? They said yes it will get fixed but make sure your device is alive and working. If after installation we find that the device is not working then we will not be responsible for that and we will charge you for the display. I said that yes the device is working as i am using it via sidesync (Samsung screen mirroring on windows pc). So they asked me to wait for sometime, they will investigate the phone and will provide the details of final charges. Also they said that the display is in stock. So after spending 1 solid hour that is 2:30 pm, i went to the counter to ask the status. They just forgot my phone and came in 10 mins and said i will be charged rs. 7300/- for the display and the charger port as that is also not working including the buttons. I said ok go for it, but is the phone working with the new screen? They said yes your phone is all right and working perfectly. This is what happened on 29th july, 2019. Now on 2nd august, 2019, in the evening around 4.30 pm, i received a call from the service center that the parts have been aarrived and we will make the phone ready in an hour. I said okay take your time and fix it, i will be there in an hour or 2 to collect the phone after paying. They said ok. After almost 30 mins, i received a call again from the engineer and told me that he can't fix the phone due to the policy i mentioned earlier above. He also mentioned he was just trying to do it manually but failed to do it thats why he accepted my phone. Is that a matter of joke or my phone is a piece of experiment? When i said at the tim eof submitting the phone you havn't told me about all the experimental things and now you are telling you were trying? He paused for a couple of seconds and then said no your motherboard is dead. I was on my way to the center and received a call from the manager and started blaming me that at the time of submitting the engineer told me about this. So i went to the center and requested for something. Not the phone or not to fix the phone, just give me the proof from cctv that the engineer told me that they will try this. She again started blaming me and also started giving threats not to argue. This is not what i expected samsung. Aug 21, 2019 Complaint marked as Resolved Samsung replaced the motherboard with a brand new one at no cost.
Display and sub pba wwre also replaced at 7360 INR as shared earlier.
Total cost - 19959.40 INR
Final Paid - 7360 INR
