Samsung India — Replacement of defective product samsung mobile j700f j7 as there is major problem with the display within the warranty period itself.

Respected sir,
I regret to inform you that just a period of 7 months has been elapsed using the samsung mobile j700f j7 (Which is under the warranty period), the complete details of the handset is given below:

Bought from exclusive samsung showroom: m. G. Ezone, yusuf sarai, new delhi.

This handset is being exclusively used by single user i. E. By my spouse, who is a home-maker. On 18th july’16, suddenly on the top corner of the screen a small spot was observed but over the night whole screen become black out with no visibility at all. I was surprised to note that and immediately rushed to the service centre of samsung at a-233, okhla industrial phase-1, new delhi.

Upon visiting at your aforesaid service centre on 19th july’16 both o[censored]s, me and my spouse had a horrible experience. Without a proper hearing about the defects we had been told that we have to pay rs.6000/- for replacement of the display. Upon request i had explained him in detail that neither the mobile has been used roughly nor it has fallen down even once till date and this is absolutely a case of manufacturing defect with the product that has been sold out by your exclusive samsung dealer. Further, the handset is well covered under your so-called warranty period so i request you to replace the defective handset (Samsung mobile j700f j7) without giving us the layman excuses of the service centres.

The body of the handset itself speaks about the well-handling of the set, there is not even a single scratch on the body or screen. This cannot happen in any case other than the product’s manufacturing defect. We were harassed for hours in the samsung service centre and at last i had been provided the number of your gurugram (Gurgaon) based office, where i spoke to ms. Rajni, designated as floor manager. I had a at length discussions with her but in no way she was ready to accept the fact that the product is defective in spite of favourable responses and explanation given by the service centre personnel.

I was reiterating my humble requests to her to make me talk with a higher official so that, i can escalate my genuine grievances to them, to replace the defective product that has been sold by the samsung company but all my efforts had gone into the drain. She was just not ready to accept my grievances.

Sir, the biggest surprise came to me that not only this has happened with me, already there were 7 or more complainants regarding the same issue but those complaints too were refused by the service centre mentioning that, for display-replacement centre will charge rs.6, 000/- as samsung company is not allowing this under warranty period.

In view of the above, i feel that i have been cheated by your exclusive dealer as defective products have been sold out to me. Your multinational company is not at all customer centric.In spite of several request by service centre’s, the company is not covering these type of complaints at the service centres.

Samsung has a brand-name and the users are common population of india, as prices are competitive and reasonable in comparison with all other products available in the market. Hence, kindly arrange to get me replaced my manufacturing defective handset at the earliest. I can assure you about the genuineness of my complaint.

Sir, i am hoping for your favourable response as soon as possible, to avoid any comments of mine on the social media/consumer forum and to the people at large in the society. Trust me, this has happened for the first time in my life that i am having a complaint regarding any samsung product.

Hope you will understand customers mind-set and genuine grievances which has been escalated before your court of law for the best judgement. If any action is not taken in favour, i will be forced to lodge a case in the consumer court.

Attached is the samsung mobile j700f j7 defective screen display and a copy of job sheet prepared by the service centre.
