[Resolved]  Samsung India — Samsung AC not working even after changing the condenser worth Rs 7642

Hello sir/madam,

I had booked a call with samsung service center on 18th may 2017 (Call no - [protected]) for my three years old samsung split ac of 1 ton model no-ar12hc5tsncnna.

The problem that i was facing with my ac is - when the ac is switched on, after running for few minutes the rccb tripples down.

The call was forwarded to cool point which is the authorised samsung service center. The engineer cam to my house on 18th may itself and he had detected that it was the issue with compressor. This is what he wrote on the service acknowledgement document-"compressor defect outdoor defect urgent tcr-1269 inr 288/-". Inspection charges of rs 288/- was paid to him on that 18th may.

Outdoor unit was lifted on 19th may 2017 and on 24th may it was informed that condensor, capacitor and capillary tube has to be changed and an amount of rs 7642/- was charged for the same.

The amount was paid on 26th may 2017 to the authorized person of cool point, bill no - p. O. No-cp/tcr/2017 1751. Repaired outdoor unit was brought on 01.06.2017 and it was found that same defect was persisting.
Rccb was tripping after few minutes of switching on the ac.

The authorized person of cool point then told that they need to check both the outdoor and indoor units of the ac. We agreed and they carried both the units to the service center.

Thereafter mr. Samir ghosh of the service center was contacted several times but he couldn't give us any positive response. As per his suggestion, our electric line has been checked and no defect was found. Another ac in the other room (Which is also a samsung ac) was switched on from this connection and no problem was found.

There are few points which i would like to bring to your notice:-

1. Initially it was detected as compressor defect was instead of compressor, condensor capacitor and capillary tube were changed resulting in no improvement.

2. Mr samir ghosh doesnt understand what rccb and what is its importance, which is why is keeps on saying that the ac is working in his service station. You need to understand that the ac may work without rccb for sometime. But since rccb is safety equipment which catches the minor fault in the appliances and thus switches off without causing any harm to the appliances.

This makes me believe that either samsung has hired the most inefficient persons or they are deliberately cheating me.

3. Lastly i urge you to please look into the matter without high importance since we are suffering in these terrible hot days due to some wrong treatment.

I strongly hope your good office will take all the necessary actions.

Dear Samsung,

I am happy to let you know that my AC is now working properly after the compressor has been changed. However as I had mentioned earlier that the condensor was replaced, which was absolutely not required, charging me Rs 7642.

I will be happy if you inquire into the matter as why such forceful / wrong replacement of parts was done. Also i would like to get my money back since it was charged wrongly.

I would also like to mention that I happy with the service Samsung has provided me after I have escalated this matter in consumerComplaints. So I am hopeful that Samsung will also further act upon my request.

Dear Samsung,

I have received a call from Sandeep who said that they would send engineers to my home and in presence of a electrician they will investigate.

However he said that he would confirm me the date and time. After which I didn't get any other call samsung nor I am able to connect via any customer care number.

Please give me a call to confirm the date and time.
