[Resolved] Samsung India — samsung service (or lack thereof) | |
My samsung fridge stopped working on tuesday june 12. I complained immediately. Samsung sent me a text message right away, providing the name and number of the technician, who was to make a visit the same day. He did not show up. The next morning, i called said technician, who mentioned that he was unwell and samsung would send someone else. Superb. I had been promoted to samsung’s head of hr! I called the customer service number again. They mentioned they would speak to the service centre and reschedule an appointment. On june 14, i was still to receive a call back. Meanwhile the food in my fridge continued to rot. I called the customer service number again, only to be greeted by another junior level call centre employee who used flowery language and gave me the usual nonsense about understanding my problems, with no real authority. Finally, many abuses later, i asked to speak to a supervisor. Now, let me explain to you that samsung customer service supervisors are the busiest people in india. Because one is never available. I was promised a call back in 15 minutes. One hour later, still no call. I called back and raised hell till i got on a call with a supervisor. He called the service centre on conference and arranged a technician visit within a couple of hours. Thank god. The technician checked the fridge and said a part needs to be ordered. He would have an eta on the part on june 15. The next day, i called to follow up with the technician. He said i would get a call back in half an hour. 24 hours later, and still no call from samsung. I called the service centre directly. The lady asked me, the customer, which part needed to be ordered. I gave her a piece of my mind (In especially flowery language). Am i a technician?? And if so, why would i have spent four days waiting for one from samsung to show up? Anyway, she obviously did not appreciate my frustration, because of course, i shouldn’t be. My fridge has not been working for only 4 days. I then called the customer service number again and i am again waiting for a supervisor to call me back, because they are the busiest people in india!
