[Resolved] Samsung — Misbehaviour of Service Technician & illogical explanation for fault | |||
I bought a Galaxy S2 in 2011 (Sep) with a 2yr warranty from Warangal (Hanamkonda). In Feb 2012 (Less than 6 months), the phone stopped working (not even switching on). Like everybody, hoping my warranty would sort the issue, I went to the nearest authorised service center (i.e. In Hanamkonda). They held my phone for 1 day and when I went to them the next day they told me that it was a water logging issue which eventually isn't covered under warranty. Further, since the fungus (apparent proof for water inside the phone) was on the motherboard and had disrupted the power circuit, I was told that the motherboard needs replacement which would cost Rs. 9000. When I asked them for a proper explanation as to how did the water get inside (since I was confident that I had never let a drop of water come near the phone), they gave me bizarre reasons saying it could have been my sweat that got inside through the speaker holes. This was ridiculous. After a long exchange of arguments, I finally succumbed to the pressure and paid the price. Again in March 2013 (almost an year later) my phone stopped working again, but this time with some hiccups. When I had it checked at a service center, again the motherboard had faulted and needed replacement, which I did not get it done clearly because of the cost attached with it. Now I have a non-functioning Galaxy S2 which I truly loved and cherished. I WANT TO COMPLAIN AGAINST THE QUALITY OF THE PRODUCTS BEING SOLD BY SAMSUNG IN INDIA. THEY ARE CLEARLY SUB-STANDARD AND NOT WORTH THE MONEY. I believe in better late than never, if any of you are wondering why I am posting this complaint now. I have shifted out of SAMSUNG and am preaching against buying their products. Was this information helpful? | |||
