[Resolved] Samsung Mobile — Company does not honor its warranty | |
In mid October my Samsung Rugby 2 phone, which is still under warranty, would not charge. Phone was received at the repair center on 10-21-13. When the phone was returned, they had made 5 component replacements. The phone's charging system was working fine, but when I went to activate my Bluetooth device it would not connect. They received my phone at the repair center 11-12-13. The same day, my phone was mailed back with an invoice stating that my phone was beyond repair, CORROSION, LIQUID DAMAGE. My phone has never been wet and the indicator in the back of the phone is still solid white, not indicating any liquid damage. When I called the customer service department I was told, twice, that the service techs stated there was liquid damage and they voided my warranty completely. Knowing my phone had not been abused or damaged by any liquid, I did not feel this was handled properly. I also told the representative that I WILL NOT ever purchase a Samsung product again.
