I purchased a new SAmsung Smartphone two montrhs ago. Its screen went blank ten days ago.
I gave it to the Samsung Udupi service centre a week ago.
Three days after that I got a call from the service Center sayingthat there is a dent on one side of the phone so it is not covered under warranty. I was told that I have to pay Rs. 3800/- if I want to have it repaired. The phone is just two months old.
The phone was inspected when it was deposited at the Service Center. No dent was observed at that time.
I feel the Company is doing this to charge me a huge amount by not honouring the warranty.
I complained to Samsung India Head giving the above deatils, but they are not giving a proper reply. I am being repeatedly told that I must go through their Warranty rules. My phone is held by them and I have been informed that my complaint has been closed.
This is not proper.
May I request that the case be investigated and corrective action be taken against the Company.
