I have placed a purchase order (Oder #: [protected]) for a Samsung Convection Microwave Oven model #: CE1041DSB2/TL (serial #: 0AR87WFR901015F) on Samsung India website "samsung.com/in" on March 3, 2022. The oven was delivered to my home on March 7, 2022. On March 8, 2022, the Samsung technician came to my home, he unboxed the microwave and found the bottom of the microwave was damaged ( please see attached pictures) and the oven wasn't standing levelled due to the damage. He reported the problem to Samsung on the same day for a replacement and also asked me to report it to Samsung. I reported the damage to Samsung via an email on March 8, 2022 with many pictures. I kept following up with Samsung customer service. Samsung customer service said they can't replace my order, therefore I had an option to either return the microwave for full refund because it was their problem delivering me a damaged microwave or keep the damaged piece and they would offer Rs 500. I didn't want the damaged microwave, therefore I requested returning the microwave and getting back my full refund. They said full refund will be issued within 5 business days after picking up the damaged microwave. After lot of perseverence, they picked up the microwave on March 22, 2022. However, it's April 13th today, more than 3 weeks since pickup but I haven't received the refund. I haven't expected this kind of behavior from a world renowned company like Samsung. It's really shame on their part. First of all they failed to deliver me a good product, then it took lot of effort on my part by sending multiple requests to have their damaged product picked up and now even after 3 weeks after the product was picked up I haven't received my refund. Samsung failed to provide me a good product and after the fact the damaged product was picked up and it's been more than 3 weeks, there is no refund. This is not how a company should treat its consumers. Where is customer service and consumer protection when a company behaves this way?
My suggestion to everyone is to avoid buying products from Samsung India website. Their customer service is horrible and everytime you call them it's lie after lie. I am not going to stop and will pursue this legally and have also placed a complaint with INGRAM Ministry of Consumer Affairs and PMO. I will also send this report to Samsun Korea head office.
