[Resolved] Samsung — not able to claim warranty for my samsung smartphone | |||
I am manoj prabhakar. (Mob: [protected]). My samsung smartphone (A7 2016) warranty ends on june 6 2018. I got a defect in my phone on june 6 2018 at 6.20pm. I confirmed with samsung support that my warranty is available till 11.59pm june 6 2018. It took me 7.30 pm to confirm all these details with my invoice. Next step i need to visit nearest samsung service center. I reached samsung authorized service center which is located at 11th street tatabad, coimbatore. But when i reach there it was 8 pm and the service center is closed. But my phone had a warranty till 11.59 pm. I am really frustrated in that situation by having my defected phone in my hand standing outside the closed service center which all happened in the warranty period of my phone. The next day i visited the same service center and they checked my phone thoroughly. They confirmed the defect is with display and the warranty can be claimable it was within the warranty period. I just smiled at them. Now they charging me for replacing the display which got issue during the warranty. They are saying the warranty period was over when i visited them. Yes, the warranty was over when i visited on next day june 7 2018. But they don't have any answer when i say that i came to the service center on june 6 2018 at 8 pm which is under warranty period. Also, the samsung company warranty norms is saying that the warranty is ony year (365 days). But they didn't mention anything like the warranty period will be till the closing time of the service center at the last day of my warranty. Now, i am cornered.
