I Purchased S22 Ultra on March 12, 2022. After 3 years of service the display decided to show green lines after March update. I searched in internet and i found out that this is a global issue.
I reached out to online customer support; they advised me to visit a service center. I visited customer service center and was told that Samsung offered free replacement under certain conditions such as within 3 years of purchase, original owner, and no physical defects.
My device just crossed the 3-year mark and had dents and scratched.
so, they told me that free replacement was not possible. i escalated the issue till it reached a customer experience Manger who argued rudely with me and informed that free replacement denied due to "External factors".
My question is that, it is widely identified that green lines on display is a manufacturing defect. And it is independent of the factor whether device have dents or scratches.
The line goes away when i switch from 120Hz mode to 60 Hz mode. it shows the defect is not user related but manufacturing related.
Hundreds o[censored]sers suffer the same fate, and Samsung should show better proactivity, same as OnePlus offering free lifetime warranty to displays. Was this information helpful? |
