I bought a TV (Model UA58AUE70AKLXL) from Samsung India Online Store. The TV was delivered on 10th Oct 2022. The technician "installed" the TV and submitted his completion report without my assent and without addressing my concerns of the TV not integrating with my laptop or my home theater system. I get a call from Samsung Customer Service and I am told that the installation is complete. I protested this claim. Instead of recording this event as an incomplete installation, they chose to register it as a service request. So now I have a situation where I have a brand new TV that has just been delivered and it has already been classified as an item that needs to be serviced and not as a defective product. I file a claim on customer support, that the TV should be returned and the money refunded. Now starts the game play of the customer service passing the ball to the service department. A new service tech shows up fiddles around and says he will consult some other expert. No one turns up. I call customer service again and am again told that a service engineer will look into the problem. It has been nearly a week since I received my TV but it is not working. Each time I call customer service a different agent takes the call and I have to explain the problem from scratch. It is just a series of apologies, sorry for the inconvenience, regret etc sing song without getting any resolution. It seems that Samsung customer service is trying to pass time so that I eventually miss the prescribed return window after which they will be in a position to reject my refund request.
It has been the most horrible customer service experience in my life. Never buy anything from Samsung Online Store!! Stick to Amazon or other e-retailers.. They allow simple returns and refunds. Was this information helpful? |
