Samsung — samsung s5 is not water resistant

i had bought a Samsung s5 white... which took me a lot of time to save up and buy it.. the next day I went swimming to breach candy club.. I was talking and by accident my phone slipped into the water I jumped in and got out of the water... my phone wasn't starting my back cover was completely sealed and charging port was shut... it is still not working I have shown it to Samsung and few other authorized retailers they said it would cost me 22, 000 to repair.. this amount is as good as buying a new phone.. since I had this major problem with ur company I moved to an iPhone 6 which I yet have to pay monthly installments for as I had saved for the s5... I hope you can help me sort out this issue
