Samsung — SAMSUNG SOLD DEFECTIVE NEW HANDSET | |||
I bought a new Samsung Galaxy grand model no. I9082 in the month of August for 18000/- . However, on the very first day the handset started acting strange. It got hung many times. I had to restart it every time i launched any application. The colors on the screen faded out on their own. They would come alive automatically after a gap of 2 or 3 hours. It also took at least 3 to 4 seconds to respond to touch, which is abnormal for a brand new phone. Since I'm in media and have erratic work hours it's difficult to follow the lengthy procedure. I finally called in September. Placed a complaint (complaint no. [protected]). They arranged a call back to resolve my issue, however, nobody called me back. I called again recently, and this time a customer service executive named Ravi, promised that someone with higher authority would definitely call me back within 24hours. However, there has been no response till now. It is has been much more than 24hours. Service centers of samsung are not widespread and are at locations which are 10-15kms from central areas. Centers have no coordination with the head branch and are full of slackers who only delay the process. There is mental and financial harassment that has been caused over the past five months. Since I have been having troubles since the very first day of my purchase there is no resolution that can come out of fixing this device as it is essentially a defective piece. it is unacceptable for a consumer to pay the full amount but receive an unfit device. I have been asking for a replacement or refund since the very first conversation with samsung. Records can be checked. There is no accountability and samsung has extremely unhappy customers.
