I am writing to seek your intervention regarding an unresolved cashback issue with SBI Card, despite raising multiple service tickets and repeated follow-ups. The responses I have received from SBI Card executives have been inconsistent and incorrect, ranging from conflicting interpretations of cashback eligibility to claims about calendar-based calculations. None of these explanations have accurately addressed my concerns.
I have carefully reviewed and calculated my eligible cashback based on the transaction details and offer terms, but there is a significant shortfall that remains uncredited to my account.
The details are as follows:
Transactions eligible for 10% cashback (up to ₹2, 000):
11th October: ₹1, 939 (PhonePe Insurance IN)
11th October: ₹1, 026.75 (PhonePe Insurance IN)
14th October: ₹17, 114.93 (PhonePe Insurance IN)
Total: ₹20, 080.68
Expected cashback (10%): ₹2, 000
Transactions eligible for 5% cashback:
16th October: ₹1, 001
20th October: ₹500
Total: ₹1, 501
Expected cashback (5%): ₹75
The total expected cashback for these transactions is ₹2, 075. However, only ₹1, 315 has been credited, which is approximately ₹760 less than the eligible amount. Specifically, for the transaction of ₹17, 114.93, I should have received ₹1, 711 as cashback but was credited only ₹950.
Additionally, SBI Card's explanation that the cashback is calculated on a calendar month basis is unfounded, since no qualifying transactions occurred between October 1st and 3rd (as per my attached statement).
I am attaching all relevant details, including transaction records, offer terms, and previous correspondence, to support my claim.
I request your urgent assistance in directing SBI Card to credit the remaining cashback amount and resolve the issue promptly.
