When one of my friends complained that his profile was randomly deleted by shaadi.com- I laughed at him and teased him that he must have misbehaved in some manner. But today when my profile was suddenly deleted I was aghast and felt thoroughly insulted.

Two days back the profile was up- its been up from last 4 months or so. But suddenly today, when I logged in, the profile, was gone- deleted for "purportedly violation of terms of conditions". Say if I have indeed violated the terms, should I be not given the showcase or reason for the action so that I can react to any accusations. It is thoroughly frustrating, insulting to just find that the profile is deleted.

What is interesting is I work in senior management of a fortune company and firmly believe that no one should be selectively treated in this condescending manner without establishing the wrongdoing. While I am not complaining about how many junk profiles are there in the site but mine was one of the most genuine profiles on shaadi.com, what is even more frustrating is if you are 40+ and when your choices are already limited and being in USA doesn't help- what options do you have to find an Indian partner? Not many.

And this inhumane treatment of their customers by shaadi.com must be reported and brought to light. Fortunately, I have access to a battery of attorneys and I will be talking to them and if possible issue a subpoena against shaadi.com, somebody must take this up and I am ready and willing to take this up for sure.
