[Resolved] Sightsavers — Not cancelling ECS mandate | |||
Hello, Represetatives from Sightsavers India contacted about a month back regaring donations. Due to miscommunication, I had agreed to pay, not realizing that it was on a per month basis. On realizing it I immediately contacted the representative(a Mr.Sunil) asking him to cancel the same as I would not be able to donate that amount every month. He said he would do something about it. This was the status about a month back. But today(10/01/2016), I received a message saying that debit will start 11/01/2016. So clearly, my cancellation request has not been honoured. I do not know if it is the mistake on the part of the representative or Sightsavers but I am facing problem neverthless. I had provided cancellation informaton well ahead in time and the user institution is supposed to honor the cancellation of ECS mandate. Greetings from Sightsavers and apologies for any inconvenience caused! We had received your request via email only yesterday (10th Jan 2016) for cancellation of your mandate. We will check with the concerned team to find out the reason for not taking action on your telephonic request.
As desired we will close your mandate now so that there are no further deductions. Again regret the inconvenience caused.
