Mandate not being cancelled despite multiple calls and emails

I have sent multiple mails to [protected]@sightsaversindia.org asking for cancellation of my ECH mandate but I have not received a response.

I also called and the agent mentioned it would be cancelled within 3 days but I have not received any email confirming it - instead I get another SMS saying the next monthly deduction will be done in a few days, without my consent.

sightsavers fraud

On the 8th of january, i was visited by two of your volunteers, the application number being, i wanted to contribute to the noble cause but expressed i can do it only on a monthly basis. I opted for a small contribution that i thought would be beneficial since i saw something similar on your website. But he forced me to pay minimum 12k and got the amount through gpay.

donated but no receipt

There were a couple of people who came in and got all my details including pan card and donation amount. But I have not received any reciept or tax exemption reciept as indicated.

They were so insisting and didnt leave my place until I paid them. They didnt agree to meager amounts and forced to pay a huge sum

Does savesighters is really a scam or is genuine...

regarding my refund

On 29 nov 2019 one volentier came for donation his name pranay pawar he gave all details about the sightsavers ngo but he didnt said anything about term & condition regarding refund poloicy and he filled my form for payment. That time i wish to pay minimum 100rs only but he was forced me to pay 1200 rs and even i paid through net banking (I mobile) and same day i informed to pranay pawar to give my money back and he told me you will get refund...

Not cancelling ECS mandate

Hello, Represetatives from Sightsavers India contacted about a month back regaring donations. Due to miscommunication, I had agreed to pay, not realizing that it was on a per month basis. On realizing it I immediately contacted the representative(a Mr.Sunil) asking him to cancel the same as I would not be able to donate that amount every month. He said he would do something about it. Nuisance and Fraud by Sight Savers

Someone from Sight Savers called my DND registered number saying it was an awareness call. Finally asked to pay some money for Charity work. Essentially a marketing call and you should check DND status before calling instead of spamming. When I mentioned that the person disconnected the call. Anyways these outsourced marketing corporate charities with directors and thousands of employees should be banned....

NGO Fraud

I got a call from someone([protected]) recognizing herself with 'Sight Savers in India'. I told her that I will talk to her later, as I was ill. Later today she called and asked me to do a donation for Treating Blind Children on 'Sight Savers in India' web site(http://www.sightsaversindia.in/). When I told her that it is going to be difficult this month, she insisted on making atleast some contribution and send the transaction...

I did donation of 23800 Rs on Wednesday 16/08/2023 but no receipt or even acknowledgment email .
I really doubt the intentions, customer care keep on telling me that I will receive Asap .

      Sightsavers representatives approached me for the cause and I agreed to pay for them but it was agreed only for 12 months. The representatives also assured that after 12 months the amount won’t get auto debited. But I came to know it was fake after the deduction continued. No one took responsibility and they dint even care as they were getting my money. Even if it’s for a good cause it should be done honestly.

        My Boss has made donation 2 months before and I'm following for the 80 G certificate since that time and they said it will be issued in next 15 days. But still i haven't received the certificate yet.And when I'm tried to call the on the no. who has collected the cheque is not answering.

          I had given a ecs mandate for 12 months and 750 rs to the representative of the sight savers ngo. But this ecs mandate is still continuing even after the completion of the term. Misusing my mandate is a serious offence so i beleive that sight savers will refrain from doing such activities.

          I hope this issue will be taken up seriously.

            I made a donation on 29/01/2020 through two volunteers who had come to my house, i haven't received any mail regarding my donation of rs.7200, through google pay.. Nor is any one picking up the call on helpline number, now i am starting to believe this must have been a fraud and feeling cheated and bad about it...               Hello, represetatives from sightsavers india contacted about a day back regarding donations. So clearly, my cancellation request has not been honoured. I do not know if it is the mistake on the part of the representative or sightsavers but i am facing problem neverthless.                 Sightsaver sent a trainee to our gated community where she entered entering false information created nuisance by knocking every house couldn't produce a valid id and was shielded by her seniors. They are doing a door to door campaign but dont have basic decency to take permission from the housing committee and dont hesitate to falsify information on the entry records. How to believe that this ngo will be working if its representatives are so careless

                  I have promised to donate for 10 Months x 750, The same was fulfilled last month and before donating I asked your Executive to stop the ECS on the first month itself and I explained him I'll pay the promised amount in 3 installments, but there was no response from any of you people nor on your numbers, but as promised I have done my part and donated for 10 Months.

                  Now the ESC has not stopped, I have received a message stating this 10th the donation will be deducted. I tried calling your number where I received text messages but still no response from your end.

                  My kind request, Please DO STOP the ESC from your End.
                  or it will be a serious consequence faced by sight savers.

                    My wife got a call from someone claiming that he is calling in behalf of sightsavers perambur chennai from number [protected]...
                    I intervened and i asked him on how did he got the number.. He explained some stories..
                    And when i asked how much money he wanted he cut the call..
                    Questions
                    1. Why an ngo person should call from mobile.
                    2. Why doesn't he have patience to answer my question, even if he is genuine to make blind people see.. He should not have cut my call.. He did ruin my 15 mins of valuable time.. If he thinks i'm wasting his..

                    I don't think ngo has got any rights to collect anyone numbers and make any calls to anyone asking them to contribute,, i seriously doubt these people's intentions..
                    There is no way i could see my contribution actually spend on people with need...

                      On the 20th of april, i was visited by two of your volunteers, the application number being qas 099267. I wanted to contribute to the noble cause but expressed i can do it only on a monthly basis. I opted for a 2000 monthly contribution that i thought would be beneficial since i saw something similar on your website.
                      This was meant to be a monthly payment using an emi option but due to some mistake, there has been a 24000 debit on my debit card. As someone who is in the early stages of his career, this is definitely a big sum for me currently.
                      In less than an hour of realising the goo[censored]p, i sent across a mail to the support email-id and requested them to refund the amount since that was my sole savings i have. I would love to contribute but 24000 is a big amount for me as of this point.

                      This should never happen to anyone else. On the instruction of the volunteer I opt for a monthly debit scheme to support the community but to my unpleasant surprise it came to my notice that 24000 has been debited from my debit card and not through a monthly debit. I clearly mentioned I want to opt it on a monthly basis.

                      I wrote to the donor care immediately, followed up for 4 days for a refund since this was my hard earned money and I was doing this as a service and not for some business transaction. For three days I was told I will be getting a refund. On the fourth day I received an email stating according to their terms only certain errors and mistakes will get refund and mine does not qualify for it.

                      How can a reputable NGO even say something like this? Especially when the amount is not of the donors consent and you outrightly treat the money as if it has no value. The amount equates to more than half of my pay and yet when I expressed my dilemma, instead o[censored]nderstanding it they put the onus back on me.
                      Also the worst part is they take a couple of days to reply or acknowledge your email or payment but are very prompt in outrightly denying you money that you didn't give consent for

                      Saying so, this has destroyed my faith in the NGO's. I want my money back.
