Skechers — fading of color

I have purchased sketchers shoes in the month of dec 2017 from reliance footprint located at model town jalandhar. After few months color of my shoes faded. To complain, went i went there, to my surprise i came to know that store was no more in place.
In month of october, when i went to reliance footprint at garha road, jalandhar, i saw the same salesman. He told me that showroom has shifted from model town to this place. When i complained about my shoe, he asked me to keep the shoes with him. He assured that he will talk to the manager and will try to get it replaced. However, despite my repeated calls to the manager and keeping my shoes for around 3 weeks, i was told that shoes can't be replaced as they are no more in warranty period.

How the customer is at fault in case showroom gets shifted from one location to other?
Is this sort of quality is expected from reliance footprint?
