My Experience with Sobha: Disappointing After-Sales Service — Think Twice Before Investing!
I am a resident of a Sobha project, and my experience with their after-sales service has been extremely disappointing.
Sobha markets itself as a premium real estate developer, promising superior construction quality, luxury amenities, and a high standard of living. However, my experience after taking possession has been very different from what was promised.
Despite sending multiple reminder emails to the Sobha CRM and customer support teams, I have received no satisfactory response or resolution to my service complaints. Within just two years, I have experienced issues such as floor tiles coming loose, wooden doors getting damaged, and other structural and infrastructure-related concerns. Roads have also deteriorated, and several delivered products and fixtures have stopped working.
The most frustrating part is the lack of accountability and customer support. When I raised these issues, I was informed that Sobha’s service responsibility was limited to just one year after possession. Is this the level of service a customer should expect after making such a significant investment in a premium property?
During the sales process, the attractive clubhouse, impressive amenities, and beautiful presentation create a luxurious impression. But the real quality of a builder is not determined by its advertisements or show flats; it is determined by the construction quality, durability, and after-sales service delivered to residents.
Residents pay substantial maintenance charges every quarter and contribute significant amounts toward corpus funds. Naturally, we expect proper upkeep, timely repairs, and responsible customer support. Instead, customers are left chasing the CRM team and vendors for basic service. The use of third-party vendors with limited service periods makes the situation even more frustrating when issues arise after the initial warranty period.
I am not asking for anything extraordinary. I expect a developer that charges a premium price to stand behind its product, address genuine construction-related defects, and provide a transparent and responsive grievance-redressal process.
My message to prospective homebuyers: Don’t make your decision based solely on marketing, luxury amenities, or the builder’s brand reputation. Speak to existing residents, inspect the actual condition of older projects, and thoroughly investigate the developer’s after-sales service before investing your hard-earned money.
A home is a lifetime investment, not just a sales transaction. Customers deserve quality, accountability, and support even after possession.
Sobha, I hope you take residents’ concerns seriously and improve your after-sales service instead of leaving customers to struggle after making such a huge investment.
